I lived in southern Michigan for a year as a teenager. I'm from Louisiana. That whole year ai just wanted to get back home and get away from Sterling Heights. We went and saw Lake St. Claire one time though. It was beautiful and the older I get the more I regret not having seen the Great Lakes and the U.P. Especially since I have always loved Gordon Lightfoot and his song The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Haunting. I now have two kids and a wife and hope to take them one day, until then, we will just watch Escanaba in da Moonlight on VHS..
