Great informative video John. Now I have to go through all my files then I will watch this again and mark my file names on the handles. Thank you and much love to you. Take care.
For some of this it's like you're speaking another language or talking about math. I gotta rewatch this one after I wake up more. Thanks for these file videos! I didn't realize how little I know.
The shapes of the files and the placement of the teeth help you to determine which file will fit or work on a surface. The "arrangement" or order of the files is determined by their "cut": not by their shape. Start with a course cut, like a zero cut, to remove excess solder, smooth a surface or increase a ring size. Then, move to files of a finer cut to remove file marks. Follow this up with sanding and polishing. 😀

Thank you for this file lesson, you covered many files in good what each is for details. Lance & Patrick.
Thanks for the video Handsome....
Always look forward to your awesome teachings.
A practical example of how to use the file for the described action would have been great.
Is there an arrangement of files to use to smooth/finish etc. the metal? What's the arrangement?
