I would be okay if the new series all of a sudden we got a pertwee look alike to take over, or that guy who played Hartnell..wouldn’t that be a kick to see him back again and saying “Susan Susan! Oh that is right, here is her shoe, let’s go back and I will give her this back now I have it mended.”
I'm not too sure about him being one of the best doctors. I don't agree with Davison's approach to the role with him making the doctor quite nervous and unsure at times. He's The Doctor he's always ment to be sure what he's doing
DarkMaster9580 That's certainly what he's meant to be now, but during Davison's run he was only (?!) 500 years old. He's now well over 2000. He's changed a lot since then (quite literally...).
They couldn't actually get Tom Baker because he was filming for the Day of the doctor. So they couldn't even get him to say that he couldn't come where they would film him trying to get into the Day of the doctor because he was already in the Day of the doctor!
So, basicly, if this was real, then the Doctor is just lying on the ground underneath the Phaoros Project with a phone in his hand and calling his future self. Imagine how that would look on screen.
I don't know when this was recorded but in the 50th Anniversary special it's shown that it really is possible for the Doctor to regenerate into one of his past incarnations as the 11th Doctor met a future incarnation of himself who was played by Tom Baker. He never directly stated that he was a future incarnation of the Doctor but he did hint at the idea that in the future he might find himself revisiting some of his past incarnations.
A Doctor Who comics story confirms the Curator as one of the Doctor's incarnations. While the canonicity of the comics is debatable, one can't deny it lends credibility to the idea.
I think it will be a bit hard because maybe the real age of some of the actors might limit the potential. Even though I would love to see Jon Pertwee again as the Doctor, I wouldn't want to see him all blue screen and CGI'd - his natural performance was in a league of its own.
Peter is going to be at a local SF con in a few weeks. I liked him as the Doctor, but I will always think of him as Tristan on All Creatures Great and Small. Or as the beef roast on HHGTG.
I agree...this guy does not sound like Tom Baker doing the prank call on Peter Davison. Funny prank call though. All these are funny actually. The funniest one has to be when they pranked called Tom Baker. Tom played along so well that he was funnier then the guy doing the prank call. By the way I like Peter and Tom so I have seen episodes of both. The person who said that Tom played the Doctor only manic and alien has know clue about Tom's Doctor. He was also sensitive, funny and had fallible moments as the doctor. Great Doctor.
I think his characterization was a deliberate attempt to get away from what Tom Baker had been doing for seven years. Where Tom was manic and alien, Peter was weary and human, and because he was so much younger than previous doctors, he was the first to bring in the "old man in a young man's body" characterization. As for Lalla, when she was on, their primary audience was still children. (They were most important part of the audience in Tom's mind.)
It is. Unfortunately, Peter Davison, like everybody else, got older. If you listen to him on the Big Finish stories you'll hear him all raspy like this.
+Emma Clarke (Future Who Companion) Definitely is him. You have to remember that Davison was young when he played The Doctor. Voices tend to change as people age.
"I need to see my contract." Best line ever.
"Ive turned back into jon pertwee!"
they need to make more of these

@@davidthedeaf "that Hartnell lookalike" is David Bradley
"No I think it worked the other way, and I've changed back into Jon Pertwee" LOL
And that, my dears, is why Peter Davison is the absolute best.
I don't think people give him enough credit for his role as five. Very, very underrated and undoubtedly one of, if not the best doctor(s).
Yes! He's my favorite.

CatieTheAwesome i think we're in the minority but yes peter davison is my favourite dr
That part with Jon Pertwee made me fall out of my seat in laughter!
how logopolis actually ended
It's funny, because Jon Culshaw would again play Tom Baker on the phone in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot which was directed by Peter Davison.
They couldn't actually get Tom Baker because he was filming for the Day of the doctor. So they couldn't even get him to say that he couldn't come where they would film him trying to get into the Day of the doctor because he was already in the Day of the doctor!
Love the way Peter goes along with this! What a card!
Whoever did this needs to do some 3rd doctor prank calls because that was spot on
He did a great job a pertwee!
Who Reactions Jon Culshaw, from Dead Ringers
I've said it elsewhere - Culshaw's Pertwee is by far his best Doctor Who.
Could have called Liz Sladen and Nicholas Courtney (who were still alive then).
Katy Manning would totally play along with it as well.
The best thing about this is that, you can imagine that Tom Baker would pull this prank on his fellow Doctors all the time.
Peter Davison certainly didn't seem that surprised at the start of the call haha
0:54 that “yes” had me laughing so, SO hard 🤣

Amazing
'Are you the actor, known as Peter Davison?'
*Whovians scramble with Theories*
They basically did that in Capaldi’s first episode.
@@thefonzkiss I thought that was a nice scene. For me, it made sense as Smith never properly said goodbye to Clara, so they justified it.
He's done that before
yeah you could tell Peter knew was a wind up but he played along nicely!
Minor miracle that none of the other Doctors told a prank caller to fuck off.
Not in the same words, but a Taxi Company did just that.
Like how he realizes straight off that it's Culshaw and just laughs :D
I loved the. "And I need to see my contract." By Peter
I think Peter figured out who it was as soon as he picked up the phone! I still love it.

Funny thing, that.
Love Jon Culshaw! 😂
hahaha this is insane! Can you imagine how he must've felt?
The sexual innuendo though
Peter didnt seem all that happy LOL
Peter is not even impressed, he's hilarious!
February 13th 2021 Ah Memories
This is a gold mine 😂😂😂

"I'm sure I'll be happy to help in any way I can."
"I need to be one with you!"
_"Yes..."_
That was class, Davison was a good sport XD

Peter once said he tried to be nicer due to Tom being somewhat cantankerous on set.
I need to see my contract
"I need to see my contract!" LOL.
This is amazing.
Tom baker is my sixth favourite doctor who
I need to see my contract. XD
I love peter!
I think he recognized the voice from the second he hear it, even if it wasn't On, it was the Fourth Doctor.
1:21 sounds just like Jon Pertwee
Peter davison is my five doctor
Also as SF. As in "F&SF". I have been a fan for about 40 years.
So take note.
It's shortened as "Sci-Fi" so take note.
i almost died laughing.
THe Pertwee isn't bad, though.
Poor Robson Green 😂
This makes so much more sense than The Watcher
Oh this is sooooo hilarious!!!!!
Hi Rob :-)
In league with the BBC.
I really hope Tom Baker himself has seen these
Sarah Kinsey he actually called him
And starred alongside Jon Culshaw who was dressed as Tom.
matelot95 omg where?
CONTACT
Why not Robson Green? Lol. He'd make a great Doctor.
Peter, this is your previous incarnation, I also will be your future son in law,and our daughter will become our wife!,
😁😆👍👍💖💖
Hahahahaha

Science fiction.

Doesn't sound anything like Tom Baker.
