    Which Overdrive would you put on your board?

    • @garyt123
      @garyt123 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nobels ODR-1 and Boss DS-1. With those I get most everything I need. The Line6 M5 fills any holes I may sometimes find (not very often). I believe Tim Pierce uses a similar setup.

      Spaceman Redstone is a really cool germanium preamp that I use to add a little oomph/character to my clean sound.
      Also I love the morning glory.

    Very nice and complete demo Andy, I was close to buy the Moxie a couple of weeks ago but I discover the JHS Bonsai that has so many options. Still I haven’t purchased any of them. Love the Moxie size and it can be a good companion to my Tumnus in my pedalboard.

    Finally a demo done correctly. Using the same guitar through out, showing sounds with bypass vs pedal on. Thank you 🤓

    I just don't understand why Ibanez haven't reissued the TS-10, all the Mayer acolytes would lap them up, just look at the Marshall BB pedal and he hasn't even played that for about 15+years

    The Pirate Queen tune was brilliant!
    I currently use a DigiTech Bad Monkey as my TS style overdrive.
    I couldn't hear a significant difference between the moxie and the others that would make one better than the others.
    I don't have an actual TS so, Andy sell your TS10... to me!

    Great demo. It's very very close to the original. TS10 has a brighter tone control but you can definitely dial in the same tones with the Moxie. "Andy don't sell your TS10 to me" cause for the extra features and the and the price differences i'll go with Brian Wampler's version 😀 but an original TS10 would give me "the bragging rights" as you've mentioned 😀

    The moxie is really good. It is really useful on a small pedal board. But the most important thing for me is, if I have found the sound I like I would stay with it and don't turn all the knops on the pedal board to ajust in different styles of music. Than it's better to have other pedal boards for blues, rock, metal... But to find something new, you have to go other ways. I have a lot of pedals, but I use these as a resource for new sounds that inspiring me. If you buy a good effect pedal in a high quality, you can't get wrong. But it all depends on the personal taste and music style... 🤘🙃

    Pirate Queen was funny - Brians May and Wampler rocking a sea shanty together. The Moxie sounds great, and I like small pedals. How about I sell you a TS10? BTW, I recommend you stop thinking while you're screwing: one thing at a time.

      I actually played 45 years of my life without pedals, just using tube amps. Only recently I started buying and using them, the Boss Wazas got me into it. Buying shitload of pedals isn't the idea, but I really enjoy the shift of perspective. Get yourself a good analog delay and you will know what i mean.
