    I was recently asked, where do you think a BA fits in the project life cycle? I said -right from the start!

  • @niharikabhogle5

    My career started as technical support but from last 3 years I am working on client Onboarding project where I was in providing access to the clients on all the applications on insurance platform, here I did a lot of sessions with our business analyst in this project as I did UAT , some training documentation preparations and thought to switch my career as a BA. I grabbed a job as BA just few days back and now I want some domain specific videos from you so that I can get high paying job. The questions which were asked in my previous interview were :
    1. Explain your projects
    2. What you have implemented in this project?
    3. As a BA what are your deliverables ?
    4. What is the most important part as a BA?
    5. What do you like the most being a BA ?
    6. What do you know about our product ?

      @@snehaelizebeth6146 Thanks for watching. I think the first thing to fix is the resume. You should really look at the resume again. You don’t want it necessarily appealing. Excellent video and thank you for the great, amazing advise. Question I was asked if I have the knowledge of API and which project I used it ?

    • @karaleise
      @karaleise  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's actually a very common question about the use of API in projects because they want to know if you can handle backend intensive projects. This is not a right or wrong answer type question and they do not expect you to know the intricate details of building an API, they just want to know if you are familiar with APIs and how you work with the technical team on implementation projects. Thanks for sharing this question!

  • @ankitdashore90
    @ankitdashore90 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi
    I got lot of confusions in giving answers to below frequently asked questions in BA interviews, please provide what could be possible answers for below questions:
    What is the role of BA in agile?
    What is the day to day activity of BA in team once sprint planning is done?
    How have you handle scope creep?
    What is the biggest challenge you came across in your career and how did you manage it?
    Important one, You are in a mid of Sprint and developers mentioned BA(You) that this task cannot be completed at the end of Sprint due to certain valid reasons, how you as a BA will handle Product Owner, as per him/her Bank may pose certain regulations fine if not done during that sprint which may delay in delivering the task?

    I was asked, If I had a product that was doing so well in some geographical areas but was flunking in one geographical area, what are the steps I would take to find the issue.
    - Imagine you have to present some ideas to the stakeholders in different countries and you will need their opinions on which ones to pick moving forward
    - Given that you have a user story that does not have a timeline or its not urgent. Because of that all the other requirements that have urgency or timelines keeps pushing the one without timeline down the backlog. What would I do to build the story with no timeline.
    - I find out people in the company, i.e even developers, operations, internal end users do not do not understand one of the product. What will I do to ensure they understand

    Hi @Karaleise. Can you please answer a question how will you handle a non- feasible requirement from client?

    • @karaleise
      @karaleise  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Garima,
      Thank you for watching the video and supporting the channel. When the client has a request that is not feasible it is best that you be transparent with the client and explain why the solution they present is not the most optimal. Try to think of it from their perspective when you have this conversation - why its not feasible for them as well as why its not feasible for your company. Then present a solution that is feasible, that they can say yes to.
      Present the pros and cons but look for solutions that are win-win for both parties. Never tell a client that cant get something without having multiple other solutions to suggest.
      Hope this helps.

There are several prioritization techniques for handling competing priorities among cross functional teams ( which I will make a video on soon) but in the end one set of priorities will win out or you can do a little of both to make both teams happy but that could result in a longer time to deliver.
