@dmdm9198 I'm from santa maria,ca Home of the santa maria grill... I definitely got my eye on the lone star santa maria grill... Saving up for it How you like it...
@@eddogg805 I like it and had it for a while now. Now I actually use the grill alot atleast 3times a week or more. Now the coal grates suck they will warped with the heat, the cover on the bottom that allows you to remove ash thins out. Wish it was thicker gauge. Now ordering a SM from shierly fabrication Because it's thicker gauge. For the lone star sm I recommend asking round bar or flat bar for the coal grates if you plan on using it a lot. Other then that no issue
Great video, great insight, also, that grill is amazing! You showed the texture of a potato but I wish you cut into that bird to show off the crispness, tenderness and colors ,, 👍
The total cook time was just under 2 hours. I never flipped the chicken but i did rotate a few time from front to back. Thanks for checking out the video.
Coming in a little late here with my comments but damn, that looks amazing. I'm actually getting ready to purchase a Santa Maria grill myself. Spoke with Gary over at Sunterra and he's putting together a quote for me on the 48" and the 60" with the rear brasero. Also looking into Tagwood BBQ as they got this amazing beast of a cooker as well. Each has it's pros and cons so not sure which way I will be going but I like the fact that the Sunterra is on wheels so I can wheel this out in front of my driveway and make all of my neighbors jealous. It's like owning an exotic sports car and just keeping it garaged up all the time.....no no no. I entertain a lot so sometimes I cook in my backyard and sometimes in my driveway. Keep up the awesome videos as I am learning a lot from you my friend.
Tell Gary I said hello, He’s a great guy and the Sunterra products are great! I love your analogy of an exotic sports car!!! Too cool 😎 Take care and thanks for checking out the video.
Love the the grill was my second choice but had to give the Texas boys at lone star grillz the business with there sm grill, not one regret

Rrr
Bold move cooking bqq on a live fire in a white t-shirt!!!
So not having my oak wood “ash over” could be introducing some bitter flavors?
Absolutely. It's a good practice to have your wood ash over before starting to cook. A ash over coal bed is the foundation of a great cook.
Great video and your style of cooking.. But why you don’t use gloves
Don't mess with Texas! Especially when it comes to all things "BBQ" !!
BAD ASS ! !
Please no more thumb haha
Corey Mogren I will tone it down a little Corey. Thanks for checking out the video.
Once again...
This is torture
It’s a crow… numbskull.
