Hi both, cracking finale and well played. I'll switch the scenario terrain to something more akin to what you used and keep the original setup as a historically correct option. Edging inch by inch up the hill under fire might be more historically correct but isnt much fun, so I'll soften it a bit. The whole hill will now be covered in scrub and light cover. That slope really is a gardener's worst nightmare! The maps. forces and blurb are done for the next one.....

Well done chaps. Jolly entertaining and in the best traditions of the USMC. Great pleasure to watch. As the Japanese bunkers were remarkably well camouflaged it might have been more apt to have placed it on a map and only revealed it when it fired - this seems to have been the usual way to find them.

Simon Norburn even when it fired it wouldn’t be easy to see. Unless you happened to be looking right at it.

As I read the rules, the flamethrower "ignores all cover", which would mean that all bunker rules are ignored, but your interpretation makes sense in that it's difficult to get a jet of fire into a bunker firing slits. Great battle report though, you've really got the presentation of this down to a fine art.

Have you guys ever played Crossfire? Would love to see it get the Tabletop CP treatment.

Did I miss something at the 59 minute mark? Did Andre fire that flame team twice?

There were two flame teams there. One part of the squad then a stand alone team.

Another great video guys! Watching these definitely helps during this period of isolation - they are much appreciated.
Do you guys ever play any I Ain’t Been Shot Mum? There are some similarities with CoC; but, it is a company level game, rather than platoon. Also, the system uses card draws rather than dice to see who goes next (similar to the chit draws in Sharp Practice). I’d love to see you guys do a game of that! Stay safe.

Jim Johnson not yet. But it is definitely on the radar!

Hi Travis, I thought the Japanese are aggresive, so if you loose by one it is a draw.

Tabletop Generals I thought aggressive just gave you an extra dice for every three. I was just using the cheat sheet. If it does more than that I missed it

@@tabletopcp Hi! The main reference to aggressive troops is in the rules in Table 15 p.59
..."Aggressive Troops add 1D6 for every three men". However, on p60, 13.1.2 it then says: "DEFEATED BY 1. Thrown back 6" facing enemy. Aggressive troops, or stubborn troops in defence, ignore a defeat by 1 and fight again immediately". The cheat sheet leaves that key sentence out 😒

Terry Drewett well I wasn’t defending so it doesn’t apply in this case. Thanks for the explanation!
