Even all these years later I love her videos! She’s so humbling to watch, I love how she cooks in a normal kitchen, with a normal messy pantry. I love how she eats the food and how messy she is just like any normal person. Even though she’s a professional chef, it’s like watching someone normal. Very humbling with amazing food!!

My family used to hide the paprika from me because any dish it was used in, I would sneak and add heaps more. It’s delicious! Still add it to any dish it seems appropriate for.
@@NM-gy6tx roll your fruit first before juicing - you'll get more juice. And mind the seeds. Also, get the sugar as dissolved as possible into the juice before adding the cream. don't over mix it or the ice cream is too hard - soft peaks is really where you want to be.

The only time I hate living in the middle of nowhere 30 miles from the closest store is when I watch Nigella. Now I’m going to drive 30 minutes to the closest grocery store for Italian bread and mozzarella cheese. I fear I will simply die if I don’t have one of those fancy little grilled cheeses.

The first item she cooked here, that sandwich: I think I'll make those and dip them into warmed up leftover marinara sauce. And a pinch of oregano won't hurt. Yummmmm.
I remember watching some of her videos as a kid. It's one of those wistful kind of memories. I really liked her but I couldn't put my finger on why. I think it's partly the cinematography that gives her the signature charm. It's a combination of a British accent, great camera work, and classy ASMR.
OMG that look in her face when she was tossing the squid in cornmeal. I am a 65 year old grandmother with a girl crush! 🤣 Nigella is something else. I do wonder why cornmeal and not just plain flour, what is the difference?
She may be sloppy, but she just shows she's like most of us in the kitchen if we are all perfectly honest. None of us can say we do everything just right with out making some mistake in the kitchen..
I've seen Nigella make a range of recipes, from the exquisitely delicious to the embarrassing. But truth be told, I don't really care, and have never actually watched her with any intention of recreating them. Those who criticize her skills are missing the point. I watch for her personality, her passion for food, and the delight of seeing such a stunning woman make a mess in the kitchen and unapologetically enjoy herself so thoroughly. She has refined tastes, but lacks the pretentiousness of most "foodies." She's not a trained chef, has little technical skill, and is the much needed antidote to the stuffy elitism in the food world.

I like the show but, I am a southerner. Given that fact i guess ALL theses foods went way over my head. I am certain they are ALL tasty for those who like that sort of food though. I truly like how she knows what shes doing and her personality is amazing and on top of all she has to get done so quickly!
I’m 100% Italian raised in South Carolina…….friends made excuses to eat at my house all the time…….some dishes were instantly loved, some an acquired taste, but to this day my Mom gets calls to clarify how she seasoned a dish just so.

I’m 100% Italian raised in South Carolina…….friends made excuses to eat at my house all the time…….some dishes were instantly loved, some an acquired taste, but to this day my Mom gets calls to clarify how she seasoned a dish just so.
