If Rey was a No One, no known family lineage, then Rey as a character is seen as an all good person and that she is someone outside any known family lineage to be passed down the Skywalker family legacy.

here's the EU/Legends Palpatine family tree for anyone curious: Cosinga Palpatine and his Wife - oldest son is just called Palpatine (aka later Darth Sidious, NO his name ISN'T "Sheev" in Legends), also they had two younger sons, and two younger daughters (all of them killed by older brother Palpatine) - Palpatine and Sly Moore - their mutated son known as Triclops - Triclops and the Jedi Princess Kendalina - their son (and therefore Emperor Palpatine's grandson) Ken Palpatine. Also, Palpatine had a third cousin called Volpau, who died 1 ABY, and a remote great-niece called Ederlathh Pallopides.
In legends we don't know his name, but we can assume that "Sheev" is his name in both timelines. Just like canon doesn't change the names of characters even if it was only mentioned in legends before.

I really hate Disney for throwing away all these great opportunities they had. You either end the trilogy or live long enough to see the trilogy become garbage.
The Skywalkers in the EU were much more interesting. A really good continuation and ending for our beloved characters. The Solo twins are some of my favourite and especially the Jaina vs Caedus was a really interesting conflict. Have a great day all.

@@zeroyuusha8270 , it doesn't matter if they approve or not. You can't end the Skywalker Family Saga with all of the Skywalkers dead and a Palpatine gets to live even though Rey is all good. This because it gives what Emperor Palpatine want as in the Skywalkers dead and his evil bloodline lives on in Rey's future descendants. If Rey was a No One, no known family lineage, then Rey as a character is seen as an all good person and that she is someone outside any known family lineage to be passed down the Skywalker family legacy.

that's funny because George Lucas never extended the Skywalker line beyond Luke. So there only exists that material released by LucasFilms, whether owned by George or Disney. Any other content is insignificant to the Star Wars Universe and is not canon. That being said, and it should have sunk in by now, the EU or Legends material means nothing to anyone except those still whining about the fact their material , created by non employees of LucasFilm, isn't officially recognized by anyone associated at LucasFilms.

And it all still exists, Disney still sells it all under the "Legends" banner, signifying it as an alternate continuity to what they're doing now. Cosinga Palpatine and his Wife - oldest son is just called Palpatine (aka later Darth Sidious, NO his name ISN'T "Sheev" in Legends), also they had two younger sons, and two younger daughters (all of them killed by older brother Palpatine) - Palpatine and Sly Moore - their mutated son known as Triclops - Triclops and the Jedi Princess Kendalina - their son (and therefore Emperor Palpatine's grandson) Ken Palpatine. Also, Palpatine had a third cousin called Volpau, who died 1 ABY, and a remote great-niece called Ederlathh Pallopides.

In legends we don't know his name, but we can assume that "Sheev" is his name in both timelines. Just like canon doesn't change the names of characters even if it was only mentioned in legends before.
