  • Back in July, the new 2021 Titleist T-Series irons were officially unveiled. If you missed our full writeup on the entire line, you can find it here. While every set in the series is quite popular, the two we get the most questions about are the T200 and T300.
    What better way to answer those than a new episode of VS, where we pit two pieces of equipment together in the ring in the THP Tech Studio and hit them both side by side.
    In this episode, the Titleist T200 vs T300 go head to head and we start with an overview of the technology similarities and differences in overhead view. Then hop into the hitting bay and hit both irons and of course finish it up in table view, where we breakdown the data from both sets and let you decide which is the winner.

    Came from G425 to the new T300’s (2021) and absolutely love them. My score has dropped by 4 shots per round. Love the feel and consistency of the irons. Distance is not a problem either, being a senior golfer the the AMT Red shaft I have gained a club on each iron and now can even put my long irons back in the bag! Great review.

    Got got fit for a barely “used” set of 2019 T-200’s in April at 2ndswing. 4-48 degrees Gap wedge. Amazing irons and experience. Compared it to AP3 and didn’t like the feel. The T-200’s have a forged face and definitely feel much better, much softer. That’s what swayed me to the T-200’s. The forgiveness of these irons are amazing. Best combo of forgiveness and feel of irons I’ve ever had and I’ve been playing nearly 30 years!
    My son bought a set of the previous version T-300’s 4 - 48 Deg. Wedge with those AMT Red Stiff flex shafts. He hits his irons so high with those shafts Which is what they are designed to do. He loves the feel and forgiveness also.

    Tried about 4 different "game improvement" clubs but went with the T 300's. Love them, and as my game has improved I don't like I am outgrowing them at all, but rather growing into them. The lofts are strong-My low club being a 5 iron and took a hybrid out of my bag since I get 200+ with the 5.

    I have really enjoyed my 2019 T-300’s . I have hit a lot of game improvement irons over the last 10 years but never found anything that had a nice ball flight and decent angle and feel . Most of game improvement irons over the years have hot spots in them with inconsistent distances of 10 to 15 yards variance in distance if you are not hitting exactly dead center in club face. The T-300 irons are by fare the best game improvement Irons I have ever played with feel and decent angle and consistent distance. I would highly recommend someone trying them or even having combo set of any of the T Series of irons, Titleist has done a outstanding job with T Series of Irons 👍

    Currently game the TM M4 irons. I am planning to get fit later this season, the Titleist website iron selector has me in the T200 where I am a 93-98 weekly scorer. Lousy putter and short game, but never thought of myself as a T200 guy more a T300 guy. Can't wait till the fitting.

  • @bradturner1130

    Had a fitting and tried T100s, T200, & T300. I’m an 8 handicap and have been playing i210s. The T100s felt incredibly good! They were easily the best of the lot by feel. The T200 didn’t feel as good but gave me the best consistency and dispersion. I ordered a full set, 3 thru gap wedge. T300 was ok but not right for me.
    If I had elected for a blended set I would’ve chosen T100s in short irons.

  • @jherl8307
    @jherl8307 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Got fitted today. Fitter and I collaborated to order a blended set 4-7 (T300) and 8-GW (T-200). I say collaborated because I know a lot and fitters don't know as much as I do and certainly don't care as much as I do either. Also, inevitably some doppo will come up uninvited in the middle of the fitting and will start talking with the fitter, thereby distracting him even more than his phone and the sandwich that he's eating during the fitting will.. My point is to do your home work prior to the fitting. Research and request to hit certain shafts and heads that you think may suit you, because along with finding the components that do work an important part of the fitting process is to ease your mind and eliminate combinations that you thought would work and don't. This elimination process will re-enforce your final decision that much more.

    Surprised that with 3mph more ball speed, 300 revs less spin and 2 degrees stronger loft the T300 only yielded 6 more yards of carry. I think that speaks to how well the T200 is performing.

  • @skjmiami
    @skjmiami 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good demonstration of the two sets. The T200 looks very crisp but both actually very nice! - I have Ping i200 and enjoy the feedback from these irons, so I would be looking for some similarity. I was thinking a combo like T300 for longer irons and T200 until 7 irons would be interesting?! But all in all, I imagine the T300 is probably ideal for me - especially watching Dan and seeing his test results.

    ordered a blended T200 through 7 iron, T30 4-6. THe 300s were shipped already, haven't received the 200s yet. Added 2 degrees of loft to the 300s to have them blend with the 200s. I'm a high capper (30) and currently game the 2019 T200's. I switched from these from the Callaway Rogue, which should have fit me better, but they didn't; T200 were way easier to hit for me. I recently went to a fitting to demo the new T300's with the same shaft as my current 2019 T200's (AMT red). The T300's were definitely a step up in forgiveness. I tend to hit shots thin and low and the T300 were a perfect fit for me. They are very forgiving on thin shots and they launch really high. Needless to say I'm waiting for delivery :)
    Oh, and I ordered 6-GW. The GW is 48 degrees which is a full shot club for me. The 5 iron is 23 degrees and there's no way I can hit a 23 degree iron. that's hybrid territory. I never use my current 5 iron either.

    I’ve hit all four irons and prefer the t100s. It’s got it all. The 200 really didn’t perform much different than the 100s and the 300, while a great GI iron it wasn’t as precise. If I had to pick between the t200 and t300, I’d probably just go all in with the GI 300. Better height, speed and distance over the slightly too big and loud t200. Glad they made the t100s.
