    very heldpful.
    very well explained.
    Eagerly waiting for the next part to learn about analysis result extraction and result interpretation of multiple towers.
    When can we expect the next part of this ?

    Thank you for the video ! Quick question, in this method each tower is analyzed individually (simply pinned at the base) in order to find the static base shear (for scaling purposes) - how does this paint an accurate picture as these towers are not pinned to the base / ground rather on another building / base that is also oscillating / vibrating (potentially impacting the natural period of the towers , and their vibration behavior). I would really appreciate your input on this. looking forward to part 3 indeed!

    Hi guys. Sorry to say this video is not given a brief about model analysis for the response spectrum case. We have to capture separate response spectrum behaviour which is very crucial. Eq.static method can be used without multiple tower options as we can calculate story shear by manually and can apply through diaphragm (Mass building can be given by etabs)
    Please do further research on model analysis for multiple tower
    Thank you

      Years back when there was no software, tall buildings were analysed and designed manually...No one stops you to calculate forces manually. The video just explained the ability of software program to do the same. Nothing else. And adding to that, this video is not explaining full analysis and design process as you are expecting. It is just an introduction to the specific tool of the software. Kindly understand the context of the content first.
      Thank you

    Sir, when I check the load after input with this way..there have 2 load is Vertikal load and Horizontal load in center di diafragma.. what is the vertical load mean sir?? You can check in display-load-point load-EX or EY after running this model you will found vertical and horizontal load in center diafragma..may be you must uncheck “apply load at diafragm center of mass” the vertical load will be 0 in the center diafragm

    Thank you. How did you separate the dead loads? All towers' load added for DEAD pattern? How did you take this mass into account correctly for each modal case of the towers?

    Is it practical to give separate load patterns for both towers and assign loads accordingly to bypass exporting the model?
    i.e. T1-EQx, T1-Live, T1-Floor Finish etc will be only assigned in T1 and T1-EQx will have Mass Source only for T1 cases.
    We can create multiple mass sources but Etabs v19 does not let us take different mass sources for for different response spectrum functions. Is there any work around for that?

    Good job sir. But it is meaningless to do scaling since the RS is not catching each tower mode separately

      Check the TP in independent model and calculate force accordingly and apply in the integrated model as u have separate diaphragm for both thr towers

  • @michaelloreantz
    @michaelloreantz ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Unsure about your approach of doing separate response spectrum analysis case for the two structures in 1 model. Without defining any change in mass source and modal analysis, the program will definitely yield the same mode shapes for the two cases, thus giving same results for both t2 and t3 response spectrum cases. Which simply makes the intention to define separate scale factor useless.

    • @ilustraca
      @ilustraca  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      we r not going to RS in the integrated model...we'll apply user forces on it that we got from the individual model
