    This lectures series focuses on the basic concept, mathematical formulation and practical application of the Response Spectrum Analysis (RSA) procedure for the seismic analysis and design of building structures.
    The part 1 focuses on the basic concept of response spectrum.
    The part 2 focuses on the detailed mathematical formulation of the RSA procedure.
    The part 3 focuses on the formulation of RSA procedure as prescribed in UBC - 97.
    The part 4 focuses on the formulation of RSA procedure as prescribed in IBC - 2000.
    The part 5 focuses on a practical demonstration of how the RSA procedure can be applied in ETABS and how the global responses of a building can be computed manually and compared with ETABS resuts.

    hello sir, I just wanted to clarify the portion @ 6:22, what if the situation is that the building is too irregular? how shall we determine that the mode is particular to a certain direction wherein almost all the modes, starting from mode 1, have an almost equal participation in both directions including torsion? how will we address that the Particular Mode will be for the X Direction only? hoping for reply, thanks.
