Kate Upton is he closest thing we have to a modern day Marilyn Monroe we have. Lots of curves in all the right places, gorgeous face and a beautiful body. She is also living proof that you don't have to me a 97 pound model either. I literally hate the people that body shame people to death. People commit suicide over things like this everyday. It doesn't matter if she is a celebrity or not, imagine she comes home and reads these things - and it's just random strangers calling her fat all the time. Judgmental pricks.

You must be pretty ignorant. Marilyn Monroe was petite. Her measurements were 5'5, 35-22-35 and 118 pounds. Her BMI is 19.6. She's leaning towards the underweight side.
And she is still a whole lot smaller than the average American woman of today.
In comparison, Kate Upton is 5'10, 39-30-36 and 150 pounds. Her BMI is 21.5. She is leaning towards the overweight side, and has way too much fat on her waist, compared to Marilyn. This increases visceral fat and risk of heart diseases. People are being objective. If Kate's measurements were 36-26-36, people and she was still about the same weight, people wouldn't say she was fat. She does not have curves. Large boobs do not equate to curves. Maybe you should be objective too.
Also, body shaming a model who is under 100 pound is also body shaming. Learn not to be a hypocrite and practice what you preach. Kate doesn't care if people calls her fat. She says she loves salty and fried food. She binges eats and starves herself before photoshoots and admits to binge drinking as well. That's why people say she is unhealthy. Sports Illustrated models are supposed to promote healthy lifestyle, and Kate is not a good representation of this. Sorry, not sorry.

She's considered thin, at least in my book. I think she's a size 6-8, hence a 29-30 inch waist, which is pretty slim. You don't have to be a stick to be considered slim. She has a few extra pounds but I think she's still defined as thin.
