As a believer, Dan’s Amazing Grace grabbed my soul six months ago and I’ve been following first reactions to it. I first heard Dan on this same video. I was left on my couch, by myself, with my mouth wide open!! I had never liked Metal Music EVER and did not expect to enjoy this. His voice is so superior that I was a fan immediately. I have spent SO much time ever since, trying to hear as much of his music as possible. On most of his older videos he does chats afterward to stay in touch with his fans. Dan is a Christian and proud of it. His father who passed away gave him a harmonica when he was a boy and it was his first instrument. His father passed away in 2017 and I think he thinks about him whenever he plays it. To me, it reflects how one comes to faith, humbly and admitting they need help, then the instruments come in, as they begin their journey, then the tone goes up as they gain more confidence. In the end, he repeats the first verse with power and confidence, like someone sharing their testimony, proclaiming it to others as victoriously, It is my favorite rendition of a timeless hymn.

Great reaction to Dan's rendition of Amazing Grace, as a preachers kid I have to say, this is one of THE best versions I've ever heard! The build up is fantastic! If you're looking for someone to react to, try a woman by the name of Faouzia, she has some fantastic songs out there, her songs that are stripped (just her and a piano or guitar) are best as it showcases her voice. Most start with her song called Tears Of Gold, or You Don't Even Know Me, or even Bad Dreams (which she wrote when she was 14!). Enjoy!
