    Your case is very elegant. Thank you for starting this video without anything patched

      Unfortunately having an arm in front of the camera is not going to help.

    awesome! ive been dying to get into this but it's expensive and i have no room in my apartment for storage anything with cables away from my cats. vcv rack looks interesting but im not sure it's the easiest place for me to learn something this hands on

    That was disturbingly eerie for a c major scale

    thank you! i like the idea of using S&H of one melody to create another.

    Nice n’simple demo. I suggest another camera angle (top view?) for your next installment 😉. Keep at it man!

    Yes, time for the next video. Just like that. I'm very curious to see how it develops, how you approach it after 2 years. I really like this video.
    I myself still have a long way to go. I already have a fairly well-equipped modular (two and a half cases / each with 7Ux104 are equipped with modules, the mixer is still missing and weak).
    I just have other priorities in my life at the moment, which is why I can only work on it every 2-3 months.
    But I have time - I hope you can find some for another video like this.

    Don't know if you know, sorry if you do :P Marbles already has quantized pitch if the "steps" knob is past the middle clockwise the three X outputs are quantized to a scale. you can choose the scale by holding the button above that until its starts blinking there are six scales all of them being in C i think and you can also program your own, can't remember how to do that off the top of my head.
    Really enjoyed the video, Thanks!

      Very useful! I find the user scale process on Marbles kind of tedious, so I usually just run it through Scales for laziness’ sake

    I really appreciate the patch from scratch approach. Wouldn't you need to tune the oscillators in addition to using a quantizer?

    • @eurotium
      @eurotium 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      my thought exactly ... i guess naming something "ambient" will excuse almost everything :D

    • @anaclast2067
      @anaclast2067  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh definitely. I’m having a hell of a time keeping STO from drifting, but I’ll usually time at the start of every session.

    • @eurotium
      @eurotium 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anaclast2067 I was joking ... I completely understand the challenges of building something like that in the modular world :D I never judge. The video would just be a lot better if you started by tuning all oscs. its not a drift thing, since the STO is pretty stable (unless somehow broken). If you have any questions I am glad to help. seriously. Cheers

    No offence but your sto is completly out of tune with your first melody, kinda baffled me througout the end of the vid you didnt fix that lol

      this.. its very obvious. still appreciate the rest .. its an easy fix

    Your auto focus is not ideal and starting talking about MIDI when your trying to explain the basics of MODULAR is not in my view the best place to start.
    I was looking for something just starting with VCO's and VCF's
