❤I did seabourn star legend from Athens to Istanbul with my wife 20-25 years ago I believe. It was fabulous then. Excited to return for the transatlantic Lisbon to Miami December 3 to 17, 2022. Thank you. This video was both informative and interesting !
I would never even approach Windstar Cruises before, but these small luxurious ships almost feel like classic, vintage ocean liners the way their decks are layered, the real teak wood they're layered with, and the chill but chic atmosphere and services. Now I want ever so to sail aboard one of them.
Thanks for watching Matthew and we're happy to have introduced Windstar to you! Based on your comment, we think you'd really enjoy their Star Plus ships. :)
We traveled on the Star Legend when it was owned by Seabourn. It was our favorite ship in their fleet. This redo looks very good. Maybe we will try her again!
Thanks for the great tour. The ship looks fantastic. I worked onboard from February 1992 until June 1995 as the Royal Viking Queen. Thanks for letting me see her again!
Thanks for the beautiful ship tour. To be honest, I never thought of considering looking at Winstar Cruises for a cruise holiday: being even more frank I just assumed the ships were way too small for us etc. We remember her from her Seabourn days But your tour has really wet my appetite. What a gorgeous looking ship and a perfect size having being stretched that little bit. Very interested now. Thank you.
Thanks for watching David. The guest capacity is now 312 so she’s been expanded well but not too much. Her lengthening also makes her more stable, so less rolling (according to a bridge officer I was talking to). New engines too - smooth as silk. 😍
We went on Windstar Legend in 2015 on their inaugural cruise to the Med. after their acquisition from Seabourn. It was our first cruise ever! My husband and I wanted to go on a smaller ship for our first cruise. It was so wonderful. But I do remember thinking that for our next cruise, I’d love to try something just slightly bigger. And…voilà! The Star fleet is now literally slightly bigger. After watching this video tour, I’d love to try it out again. Things that really stood out for me: in the original, the food choices were not many. I love that they have added more choices with the extension. Also, the pool area was sorely lacking in the old ship. It was tired and dated. I remember the deck teak was scratched and old looking. They have made it new again and added room and amenities to the pool area. I don’t mind that the bar no longer looks over the pool area because it was so small to begin with and it was always full anyway. The new fitness and spa facilities look awesome! They were very tiny and dated before.
Lovely vlogs by yourselves. The ship now looks amazing. We went on the Star Pride 7 years ago. The new layout is so much more improved 👌🏻 Might be tempted to try again .
@@visitwithus I have just found out some terrible news....The wife has...You better sit down for this....Booked us in....Economy ! .... Oh the humanity, 8 hours in a seat that doesn't turn into a bed ! How will I survive :)
Thank you for the tour! We honeymooned on the Seabourne Legend during her final season. We really want to check her out again! Do they still have the best breadsticks? I heard the machine to make them was specifically named in things that remained with her.
We traveled on her when she was owned by Seabourn for many years. This redo is very interesting and because you both have done a lovely job showing her off we must sail on her. Did you find the service and fellow guests agreeable? I'm off to the website.
Thanks for watching the first part of our brand new Windstar series! Please don't forget to subscribe for more. Thank you!
I love it. I booked it. Next year is going to be amazing 🤩
Amazing indeed 🤩
Have fun and thanks for watching 😊

Thanks for watching Michael. She's worth a return visit for sure. :)
My kind of ship, small and beautifully proportioned. Great video, Mr Dark brown voice 👍🏻
Haha! Thanks for watching and giving me a new name to add to the list of oddly confusing names. 😂

Thanks for watching Terry. That's very cool - you were with her right from the start! :D
You created a beautiful review. Thanks
Thank you. :)
what a great ship tour 👏 ... now I'm really looking forward ... less than 3 weeks and I'm on 🤩 ... so excited 😆
We’re so glad you enjoyed it Mikel. You’ll have an AMAZING time. 😍

Now you've got me adding a bucket list item.
Read a book for 10 min inside the wheel house of a cruise ship.
Arghh, why didn’t we do this 😆
Thanks for watching 😊

Thanks for watching and for your comments. We really hope you get to try the new ‘extended’ ships soon - they really are rather lovely ☺️
Gorgeous ship, the re-imagining worked very well and I love teak decks as well. Thanks for sharing.
Many thanks Lou. They've done a great job. :)

Thanks for watching. This ship was gorgeous and we think you’d love her (and there’s just enough original features to reminisce too). ❤️
Great Work…Again!!! Truly Love Stopping by Ur Channel! 👍😍
Thank you so much Thomas! 😀
Thank you so much for this. For the first time in a while I am actually excited about the upcoming trip.
Our pleasure! Have a great time Dave! :D

She’s a beautiful ship that’s for sure ❤️
Thanks for watching 👍
Richard,Another great video, thank you, Richard P
Very welcome Richard. Thank you for watching. :)
I'll always remember this ship as the one which plowed into the St. Martin port in Speed 2.
Haha! Yes it was! I have a couple of stills from the movie in one of these videos. 😆
Classic 90's Brass n' Glass, baby!
Haha! Indeed. They must've made a conscious decision to keep the original fittings. :)
Was on the Legend when it was one of the little sisters of Seabourn. Loved the ship. Glad to see it getting a major upgrade.
Thanks for watching Mark. She’s alive and kicking and enjoying her new life. 😍
Just beautiful done! I worked on her in the restaurants and open decks for 10 years incl. the filming of speed 2👍 would love to visit it at some time!
Thank you D. Glad it brought back some memories. 😍
Looks great Rich what is the entertainment like onboard?
We discuss the entertainment in an upcoming video Ken. :)

Thanks Micheal. The service was as good as Seabourn and the fellow guests very friendly. We had a great time and I'm sure you will too! :D
When they increased the passenger capacity from 200 to 300, did they also increase the galley and dining facilities correspondingly?
Well, yes, I believe they did. The main dining venue, the Amphora is completely new and expanded and the Star Grill is too. :)
@@visitwithus I assumed that they would, but wanted to check. I have sailed on the Star Pride, and it was an absolutely excellent cruise.
