I'll be on her in 37 days & I am So Excited & have been waiting for this Cruise for Ages! I have already met one of the Entertainment staff that was on my Previous Cruise in Australia! She was disembarking with me & heading over to the Sun after spending time with her family! I'm looking forward to seeing & experiencing as much of the ship as I can! Really very Excited & Eager to board the New Sun Princess!
Hi Ron49C, thanks for watching. You didn't like the ice cream at Scoops located inside the Ocean View Cafe or were you referring to the self serve at Mast Grill?
I was onboard Edge in March and thought what they served in Scoops was fine. If that wasn't good for you, I wouldn't hold out much hope that what Princess offers will be any better.
We are booked for Nov 2025 in a cabana mini suite. This will be our first cruise with Princess so I'm hoping you continue to give updates on this beautiful vessel!
Chris, you mention that Sun Princess is using the same XL Platform that other Carnival brands use however looking at the exterior pictures and funnel shape it looks to me to be a redecorated MSC Seashore design? The Sun Princess doesn't have the "block" like shape of Carnival Mardi Gras. I know the MSC ships are built in Italy and so is Sun Princess. The Sun Princess looks to be a beautiful ship! Love all of the venues you showed in the video!
Hi TheRiverPirate13, there are some similar elements to Seaside class, but even though Princess claims they designed it from the ground up, there tons of common components found in XL class ships.
@@TalkingCruiseThe Carnival, AIDA, and P&O XL ships were built by Meyer. Those obviously drew a lot of inspiration from Fincatieri's Project Mille (of which the Princess ships are based on).
As a cruise veteran I can tell you that Princess is a very relaxing cruise for the 55+ crowd and for those who enjoy "fancy" dining/spirits. We just returned last week from an 8-day/7-night cruise on Sky Princess (my Christmas gift to the entire family) and even at my advanced age of 58 I found it largely boring. The kids and grandkids were bored the entire time (small kids club with few activities and a very tiny arcade) and now they never want to go on another cruise. For those looking for all-day fun and plenty to do for the entire family...nobody beats Royal Caribbean. For the older crowd just looking to relax...Princess fits the bill. Cruising is personal and your cruise line of choice should be determined based on your expectations. My wife and I will definitely do another Princess cruise for just the two of us but would never recommend it for families. Do your research.
I've been on board the Spectrum of the seas in March 2023 cruising from Singapore to Thailand. Nice ship, modern but not on par with the elegance of a Princess cruise ship. Also the food was ordinary.

We've taken dozens of cruises with our kids, many on the latest ships with everything under the sun to do onboard. While we still enjoy incredible ships like what Royal Caribbean offers, we also enjoy taking longer, less busy cruises on Celebrity, Princess and Holland America.

Hi melvinjacobs2328, if you are used to other ship classes, Sun Princess is a quite a departure. With so much more tonnage and the fact that this ship is very similar to Carnival's newest ships (same platform), it was inevitable that they would introduce many new features and venues that not everyone will like.
