Both of the guest join Lynch and Joseph the co-hosts of I Hate Your Deck, to go head to head in this multiplayer game!

I love how Prof and Post are like, best friends now - I feel like when they met, Prof just had no idea who Post was and it took like 4 collabs before he found out Post makes music.
I've heard it's hard to make friends when you're famous because everyone is a gold digger, I guess the trick is to meet someone so ridiculously out of touch, lol.

I love how Posty- even after dying in the game is still emotionally invested in having fun & joking around. I think a lot of players frown upon a player being excited and staying part of the conversation until the game ends (even if not making suggestions, or being a peanut gallery, or anything like that). The rest of this crew is so cool and accepting of that, and that's a good feels man.
Why would one frown upon such a player? Isn't the goal of all this to have .. like you know.. fun?

I'm the total opposite. If I'm hosting a table I have lost countless games because I'm terrified of people losing too early and them not having a good time afterward just sitting in silence :/
Yeah- arguably the most two famous people on the show (Post, Cassius Marsh) are also super humble and super fun loving attitude at the table.

Can I just say that Prof's little dialogue about Lynch was really touching, I thought that was super cool. Hands down this is the best commander gameplay content on TH-cam. It really feels like playing with your homies at your LGS.

I literally spent the first ten minutes of the show just dying, I can handle Prof and Posty in the same room xD Entirely too fucking funny. They are like the ultimate duo now. Professor had no idea Posty is literally a rapper and even actor and Posty is like "this is the nerdiest dude in history. I love him!" And a friendship was made from there. I love it.

Lynch stopped by my LGS, Lookout Games in Spearfish, SD, a few weeks ago and sat down to play with us. It was an awesome and genuine experience that a lot of us at the shop will always remember. Fanboy moment when he signed my Brago card and Josu Vess playmat lol.

This episode was amazing, small rules clarification though in regards to Teferi's Puzzle Box; because it happens during the actual draw step, you would draw your card for turn before the Puzzle Box trigger happens. It rarely matters, but just in case it ever becomes relevant in the future. Cheers!

51:10 Lynch does indeed get Bruna back as she entered the battlefield under his control. When the Prof died, the control changing effect ends and Bruna is send back to whoever controlled her last. Not that it matters though :p
Yeah, I think Joe got confused because of the way Xantcha works. When Prof dies, Xantcha does go back to the command zone because it comes under an opponents control as it enters, so there is no previous controller/owner for it to revert to when its controller dies. Gilded drake however, steals a permanent that is already on the field, so it would go back to Lynch as you said. Just explaining for anyone who doesn't understand, sometimes magic rules can be a bit confusing lul (:

@@lukassaunders7420 Man, I totally thought they played it correctly but after looking it up, you're right. This is actually a really good example of what happens when a player leaves the game. All exchange-control effects end and the previous controller (in this case Lynch) gains control of the permanents in question. Xantcha has no previous controller and technically gets exiled, but Joe obviously rezones her to the command zone.
Weird, but correct. Anyway, thanks for pointing it out, guys. You never stop learning.

Rule 720.4: "If the monarch leaves the game, the active player becomes the monarch at the same time as that player leaves the game. If the active player is leaving the game or if there is no active player, the next player in turn order becomes the monarch."

Amazing episode all. My favorite moment was 38:40 when Prof said, “I am the fish and I’m hungry”. Joe responds “Koo koo kachoo” basically saying “I am the walrus and I’m gonna eat all you fish”. So subtle, but absolutely brilliant :)

Moments like this are exactly why I love Commander. I might not do anything the entire game like Lynch, but I'd have more fun then the entire week before. Nice to remember that it's not Gambling, not Hoarding, but Gathering bringing the Magic to the tables.
Awesome episode! At around 46:33 the order is actually upkeep draw 2 lose 2, draw step draw a card THEN the puzzle box triggers. The first thing you do in your draw step is always draw, then "at the beginning of" stuff happens.

But just so yall know for next time:
With Teferis puzzle box, the trigger goes onto the stack AFTER you draw for turn in your draw step. Drawing for turn is a Turnbased Action and happens before players get priority, and triggers wait until players would get priority to go to the stack.
So the sequence in that game you be:
Untap
Upkeep- draw 2 lose 2 life
Draw step- draw for turn, puzzlebox triggers, put cards in hand (including the card drawn for turn) on bottom and draw that many. :)

I love seeing IHYD, the Prof, and Posty together. Both cuz they're all separately known and funny, but even more so cuz they're even better than the best play group you could hope for at home or your LGS.
Post's lvl of comfort and being a first time guest on Game Knights to now have been a hilarious progression. I want to see Prof. Post. Cassius and Ladee run one.
The social awkwardness is gold. Some times awkward, some time hilarious.
My guess is that usually when the prof tries a joke or barb and it goes badly he retracts but with the alcohol he just kept plowing forward until everyone was like fuck it ... let the good times roll... It was like watching a train not sure if it was going to go off the rails. But the group has gelled. Watching Lynch do the whole slow your roll with priority, and the prof later make it clear his jabs were done in fun was great. Also that subtle "buy singles" Post slipped in was great 13:29. This episode was the best yet IMO. Loved it!

51:10 Actually Bruna would stay on Lynch's Board after Professor's death due to the multiplayer death rule cause it changes from his control to the prof ; if it was taken with cards like Bribery or the -10 of Tevesh Szath from the command zone it had to be exiled, but in this case Bruna had to go back to lynch
Came here to say this as well. If you’re confused look up Zedruu rulings. Gain control effects return to their previous controller. Xantech’s enters the battle field under the control of another player so she will be exiled. Basically if it’s been there it stays there.
@@BananaNationTV go read rulings dude, if the control of a permanent has been changed then that permanent go back to that controller. Xantcha enters the battlefield directly on opponent's side so it will be exiled, but bruna with gilded drake will return as i said. Other example are bribery or tevesh zath -10 from the command zone. Learn rulings
@@BananaNationTV same as if you cast something u stole with thief of sanity or dauthi voidwalker, the control of that object never change so it's exiled as the guy who died owns it
