- Amidst nationwide protests in the U.S. over the death of George Floyd and biased policing, a pocket of Seattle has emerged as a police-free zone.
Protesters have occupied an entire city block of the Capitol Hill Neighborhood, including a police station. They started out calling it the 'Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone' or CHAZ.

So they waited outside, ready to enter if it was peaceful again, which didn't happen so the gunshot victim died on scene.
