I’m surprised no one other than FN is producing a “premium” 5.7 model-maybe something with an aluminum frame and a really nice trigger, even if the price point is $1250+. If people can afford the ammo, at least SOME folks would be interested in firing said high priced ammo thru a nicer gun.

I have 2 Tisas PX9 gen 3 and they have been running great with no issues. For the money I think they are the best budget 9mm polymer gun in the market right now.
I have one of these, it does have a nice trigger for the 5.7s out there but I had issues with failures to feed multiple times requiring me to take out the mag and correct the issue. It would not completely chamber a round and the extractor wouldnt properly grab the rim so id have to drop the mag and pull the round out. I also mistakenly ordered the non optic cut version so that sucked but was on me. The slide is quite tall as well, granted that doesnt matter much as the gun still has very little recoil. A Rock is in the same price range and IMO is the better gun. I have the Rock, this Tisas and the S&W 5.7. I got mine for 349 copies of the original coupon at battlehawk. This was with AAC Vmax and FMJ both. Could partly be to blame but it wouldnt properly get into battery so id get a click and no strike on the primer (which is a good thing since the round wasnt fully chambered). Not sure if its a spring, extractor, mag, or ammo issue or what combination. Honestly having 2 other 5.7s I like, i will probably trade or sell this one off.

It’s only a problem depending on your budget. For dudes that make way more money than most of us the baseline for what they consider expensive is going to higher than the 12 dollar box of nine that we’re shooting as training ammo at the range
The majority of the "training" ammo is fine for self defense. But people like to train at 25c and "defend" at a $2 with 9 and never train with their SD ammo.
