how bout like a modular weapon system, like a sword with different blades and handles. With like each part with different stats or spells associated with it so you could mix and match them.
@@MrPangahas It sounds really cool! Are saying kinda like a character customizer for weapons however you get different stats? It will take a bit to figure out but stay tuned!
@@MrKnowBodyUE5 yup basically instead of the skills tied to the player its associated with the weapon parts so you could have a variety of builds and be able to swap it around to experiment with different combos.
This was great! Much better explanation than I’ve seen before. If you could possibly in the future show how to add unlockable doors with keys as well that would be perfect!
Hmmm I might do that but if you looked at my inventory system tutorial you could make a lock and key system with that which wouldn’t be too difficult join the discord if you need help with doing that!
Fantastic tutorial. I was really stressing myself thinking I was going to have to make multiple door blueprints for my training environment, and instead I learned how to make an incredibly dynamic blueprint that fits all my needs. Easy voice to follow along with, and I really appreciated the chapters in the timeline.
Not going to lie, I watched your first part and was wondering what in the heck you were doing with those variables. You really come through with the rest of the tutorial. Nice work. :) I like how you build upon what you've implemented to make it much more advanced than where you started.
Question about your layout, I've copied everything up to the Dynamic section, however my door is only rotating by ~1 degree unless I set the variable to something crazy like 9000 just to be able to walk through. I have other doors that seem to work, but it seems as if something is breaking the rotation. Any ideas?
Good tutorial video for sure, but for the beginner, I want to hear not only how to do, but also what it does and why. Also your voice volume is very low compared to the sound effects you used. Well, you just get a sub for your contents!
I'm new to this, the videos are very good, but how could I do this tutorial without a character? I only have the capsule component, it is for architecture, this is the best tutorial that comes close to what I am looking for, I think the tutorial fails me in the line trace part, my sin is being a complete novice :c
Hahaha so that’s all good you can just follow along exactly the same still using a character but don’t assign a mesh therefor the character is blank or you could try doing first person? I hope this answers your question if not feel free to reply
I’m pretty sure we fix this at the start of the video! However to do it go into your door mesh then add a collision box to it that’s pretty much it! If you get confused re watch the first part!
So for each door, you’ll just drag the door blueprint out from your content browser, on the left and side in your details pane you can tick the correct boxes to set the door up how you’d like for example: sliding door, physics door etc and your good to go.
@@MrKnowBodyUE5 I see, I am just learning this engine and love the graphics and animation options. I am stuck on learning how to change the third person camera to a outside camera for scene stories. But i am still learning lol.
Hi, I would like to invite you to the "Unreal Expand Game Challenge," where 5 developers will collaboratively build a game in Unreal Engine without direct communication. It's like a game jam where each developer has 5 hours and adds their own part. There is no time pressure. I would be happy if you took part. Thank you, and keep up the great content!

could you please make a tutorial for an armed and unarmed locomotion. I would greatly appreciate it.
@@sidharms7206 Of course i can! Make sure you turn notifications on so you know when i drop the video! Thanks for the support

This was a great tutorial! I liked how modular you made it to easily fit into any project, thanks so much :)

I commend you for the all-in-one approach.
Edit: didn't realize Enhanced Input was used in this video.
Thank you! I thought it was essential to have various different doors in a game.
great video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Genius idea.

Good video and looking forward to more hopefully.
Thank you for the kind words!

There are thousands similar videos. None of them shows how to open a door using an IK. That would be more useful.
I tried to follow the tutorial and everything works except my doors are not solid and you can walk through them. How do you fix this?

My blonde moment missed it lol. Thank you!
@@MrKnowBodyUE5
No problem lol
@@MrKnowBodyUE5 literally the simplest step missed because I was overly excited about doors opening 😂
Hahahaha
This is a lot just for a working door.
It is, but it means you can easily use any door you want in your game. Free range of choice.
@@MrKnowBodyUE5 So you can use the same set up for all doors? or you have to copy and paste for each doors name?
