That blueprintue website looks amazing. Others even share codes for a general idea how to do something. I'm in a very stressful state with trying to learn unreal engine because i have no instant response to questions, so at least with this i can sorta see how something is being used and possible nodes i need to use and how others are doing things. Thanks for this.
I am using chatgpt to code my game; obviously, he cant give you exact answers on how to blueprint stuff, but saying "hey, i am creating a bossfight and I need projectiles to follow the player - where should i start?" helps immensly in getting a starting point and loosing a lot of stress. 90 percent of the time his answers are worthless, but they get me on the right track in terms of research videos, forum posts or nodes and blueprint functions I didnt know about. The last two months were amazing this way. Oh and by the way; you can ask him 20 times if you didnt get something, unlike some people on the internet and in forums, that react very negatively if a beginner reaches out and basically gatekeeps newbies.
good video! 8:47 the imo best way is to just use the space bar to cycle between move, scale and rotate, instead of using 3 different keys. it's also really fast, once you're used to it, and you can use the W, E, R keys for other shortcuts.
Awesome tutorial thanks for all the information. I was surprised you went over the end key, not a lot of people talk about that one. To add on to your tips for a translate rotate and scale if you hit the space bar it will alternate between those three. And for the website with the blueprints I believe it also does materials I had just learned about this one today from my supervisor
I have a laptop and the End key is bound to the number key 1 on the right side. When I click it in my UE viewport it does a zoom out. I really need this snap to the floor shortcut, what should I do?
After all this time I am only now learning about the Pivot point and simulate physics. Hours wasted. Great video, some of these tips will revolutionize how I work from now on
About Move/Rotate/Scale of objects, also remember - "Spacebar" cycles those 3 modes. And, one UE5 interface specific thing. If you are like me, and want your content browser on secondary screen, in UE5 (not 4) case, choose "Browser 2" for that, not "Browser 1". Seems that "1" is kind of hard-locked to that sill drawer "feature", introduced in UE5.
Thank you very much! Only thing is the snap to ground is not working for me. My End key is on on the 1 number pad, and that makes a temporary zoom out in the UE viewport instead of snapping to the ground
Quick question, can you take an actor/object and unmerge or dismantle it into different parts? For example, if you have a fountain object but you just want the statue in the fountain, can you cut it out from the rest? Great video though, gives me many more things to try!
Ty for the video man .. so i have one question. If i have some blueprint that is already ready to use it , but it is on one project and i want to copy it to another project, how should i do it. And ty again
please do not use complex as simple settings )x this is a performance killer, only very very specific case you would do this, just built proper simple collisions
Anyone knows where should i be looking for/how to start: I'd like the player to be able to create custom assets from within the game. What are the keywords, starting points for such a goal?
Tip #3 You can hold Alt+Shift and Scroll Button to adjust the Pivot as well. If you hold V with the previous combinatuon, you can lock it to a vertex. (I'm drunk rn while watching this, so I'll have to double check in the morning if these were the right combos) EDIT: It's just Scroll button on the pivot and you can move it. While scroll button is held you can then hold Alt + V to enable vertices and snap to it. Just know it's pretty finnicky with the vertex snapping. Thanks for the wonderful video btw!
Is there a similar way to edit pivot point in UE4? btw 12:52 "A bit more complex"? Wow thats an understatement xDD Should have warned noobies that this collision mesh is crazy complex even for a static object. And would be cool if you mentioned that complex as simple is almost only for static objects. But either way, love your content! Thank you!
some of us have to work with an annoying azerty keyboard. any tips fot that ? keys are not next to each other , even playing games is am mess some are mapping the keys wrong so in tut it say press "w" need to press "a" ...
most of the tips are hillarious, because they are not tips, they are common sense, basic methods used in usual workflow(but I guess I work in ue too much). nice video though, might be helpful for beginners. like!
@@UnrealUniversity They really start to build up after a while, don't they. Appreciate the reply, if they could figure out a secondary library system, one that would be able to hide those not used often or at least be able to put them in alphabetical order, that would be helpful. Thanks again, great video as usual.

When using the alt key to duplicate objects, holding shift will lock the camera and move it along with the new object
Ok the text file blueprint copy paste is AMAZING. Now I can save all my already made blueprints and replicate it .
good video!

Ive been using UE for 6 years and still didnt know half of these! lol really helpful video
Been tinkering with unreal on and off for 2 years and didnt know half of these. fairly useful.
Dude the first tip is a life changer. I’ve been using unreal for 4 years without that 😂
Thanks, this is definitely speed up my workflow a lot
Very Cool!
I have been using UE for a while now and You showed some things I didn't even know existed.
As someone from a trad 3D background fresh into UE, this is GOLD!
Wow some of these are ridiculously useful; thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

to improve performance for editor you can also change from Lit to Unlit

so valuable, thanks man
This video is GOLD!
this gonna be very useful to me. thanks
Good one! I didn't know anything about the asset window
omg this video is truly blowing my mind!
Nice video! These tips will help me a lot with my university projects
Very cool and useful tips, thanks!
Nice tips man, thank you appreciated
Bro, how do you have so little subscribers? This was top notch quality content. Thank you very much ❤
wow that's a brilliant one, thanks mate!
great video
Great Tips!
Hello, I'm new to Unreal Engine.
How can I setup my PC for game development? What are the minimum system requirements for running the game engine?
Thank You So Much...🙏✨️🔥
Very Helpful...👍😍
Wow thanks you man!! ❤
Happy to help
Very useful video, thanks
Subbed!
Some great tips thank you!
Lots of useful tips. Thank you very much!
thanks bro

No I don't think you can unmerge an actor once you merge it
Ty for the video man .. so i have one question. If i have some blueprint that is already ready to use it , but it is on one project and i want to copy it to another project, how should i do it.
And ty again
It may better to migrate that actor with that blueprint, you can do that by following this tutorial : th-cam.com/video/ImhNJc9EFXc/w-d-xo.html
Tyyyy so much my friend ❤@UnrealUniversity
This was amazing! One question, could you please make a video on how to make a wall run animation for a game in ue5?
I will add that to my list
Wait you can animate in UE5?? I would always animate in blender
Thank you for your video. It was really helpful.
THANK YOU FOR THIS! If I'm not mistaken I have your soulslike melee on udemy and I'm starting that soon! Ty ty ty
thanks man
the website, that was clutch
Great job
super cool tips,10x 🎉

on the physics asset for all my models it is set to that. I should probably change it right? It was auto set to that when creating the physics asset.
@@Alex9250yes, change it bro

Why doesn't the End key work for some objects? Is it because of a lack of collision?
yeah I think the object would need to have collision
some of us have to work with an annoying azerty keyboard. any tips fot that ?
keys are not next to each other , even playing games
is am mess some are mapping the keys wrong so in tut it say press "w" need to press "a" ...
I don't know sorry
Half of them are basics everyone learns on the first day when going through a basic UE tutorial!
For the object snapping to a surface by pressing End, this isn't working for me. Do I need to set something up first?
The object needs to have collision
@@UnrealUniversity Ah! Okay, thanks.
Great video, although for the part at 8:51 , you could just press space and it'd cycle through the tools.
Oh Shit! 🙏 thanks ☺️
thanks too much.

Is there a way to delete items from my library vault that I no longer need or want?
don't think so, once you have I don't think it's possible to remove unless you contact epic or something

nice..Ive been working through one of your older tutorials and i would have been disappointed if you didnt say.."nice" at least a couple of times..)
