Depression is pretty easy to self diagnose if you’ve had it before. I have Bipolar I and if I go to my doctor and say I am having a depressive or manic episode they’ll just start treatment for it. Once you’ve had them before it’s very obvious to see them coming.

As someone who’s actually been through a major depression, I doubt her “depression” is affecting her that badly, when I was depressed I definitely spoke slower but she looks like she’s forcing it to such a comically slow level. she’s just like every other trash TH-camr that uses depression as an excuse for their terrible actions
As someone with bipolar I disorder who has been hospitalized for both depressive and manic episodes, eh. I didn’t have slowed speech during any of my depressive episodes (my last major one, that was like over six years ago, medication and dedication to exercise and routine really helps) but I did have memory, concentration, and confusion issues. I also had hallucinations and heard command hallucinations that called me an f-slur (I am gay, it’s a thing gay men get to deal with when hallucinating). I have seen people who had slowed speech like that before though and even worse actually. I am leaning towards thinking maybe it’s real as she’s pretty consistent with her speech and it’s actually pretty hard to fake altered speech patterns for long (and pressured speech is almost impossible to keep up for more than a few minutes unless you are manic).

Her speech definitely was insanely fast when manic and so slow when depressed that she kinda sounded like she took sleeping pills, but even she didn’t speak this slow.
Perhaps she’s under the influence in this video? Or maybe it could be real, it’s just so unusually slow (and I’ve visited the psych ward many times when my sister was doing badly/ have a lot of mentally ill people in my family), but again, that’s only my personal experience. I have seen people speak that slowly when they’re in trances though…also it comes off a little disingenuous when she uses her depression as an excuse for her behavior, but again just my own opinion.
