    In case anyone was wondering, Ted ended his Better Help contract about a day after Shae started making the posts about him back in March. He never responded to Shae, which isn't surprising because this isn't the first time she has tried to publically drag him. In the past, she insinuated he was a cheater and then had to walk her statement back when people were freaking out about him "cheating" because that wasn't true.

    When a company engages in mass online sponsorship like this, I am suspicious. That's so much money spent on marketing instead of the product itself. These sponsors tend to be newer products from companies trying to grow aggressively. • @samuelhofer7099
    @samuelhofer7099 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    You know, telling a creator the sponsor they're working with is horrible is 100% fair. I'm sure there's a certain line a lot of them have when they determine a sponsor just isn't for them, and they may have crossed it without knowing. Some may value their audiences opinions too, and want to do right by them.
    But then you try to outright cancel them, not just inform them, they're one of the more wholesome creators on the platform, and of course you got to try and make up stuff and play the semantic game to make the situation look way worse than it actually is.
    There could've been a productive conversation here, but as usual, Twitter just wants a reason to punch down on someone, and they have done it to Ted yet, so why not? He's got... uh...... That one nono sponsorship! yeah, let's go after him for that, that'll teach him!

      He should finish whatever contract he has, then drop them. If an NDA or ND prevents him from calling the company out, then whatever, but continuing is a bad thing to do.
      And this brings me to my second point. Your defense seems on some level to be that he is wholesome, but by taking a better help sponsorship after being told what a bad company they are then that is an unwholesome thing. A cultivated image shatters against one's actions when forced to choose between right and more profitable, since there is no way that he doesn't have other companies willing to sponsor him even if for somewhat less money.

    Even if you dont 'need' a therapist, it is good to see one, even if its like a every few months thing. It is cathartic to speak openly sometimes, especially when you have so many things on your mind. Therapy really helped me when things were really bad. Not so sure about online therapy though...

    I used better help before. My 1st session with my therapist was good I’d say, but every consecutive session would get worse. Our sessions were done over phone call, by the second session I could tell my therapist was like running errands or something? The third session she was straight up in her car talking to me through her car speaker running around doing whatever. I stoped after that lol my friends can do the same thing.

    I don't know better help's process for matching you with a therapist or the professionalism those "therapists" may show. Getting therapy was a rather in depth process for me, with an extensive intake and a requirement to go in person at least a few times before remote therapy was available. Online therapy was something I looked at for years, but I think the process I went through for my therapy now is what makes me actually trust it. As for cost, I am probably just a bad person to ask. The group I get therapy through doesn't do any kind of charge for people getting insurance from the state like I do.

    I actually tried post a friendly message on Anthony Padilla's channel warning about BetterHelp as I knew about their past scandal on YT but mostly focused on the fine by the FTC which just dropped at the time I commented on a video with a BetterHelp ad. I think the channel has a filter up for the term "better help" as I submitted a comment and it just immediately vanished upon posting. At first I thought it was because I included a link, so I wrote another comment but that one also disappeared when usually comments I post kind of stay on the top right after I post. At this point these content creators don't care because many likely have long standing partnership with BetterHelp who pays them a lot of money. It's just scummy since the FTC stated they were misusing vulnerable people's information to sell ads. They have other websites that basically lead to better help such as services for Christians, LGBT, etc. They prob shared some personal information that would def be risky to be exposed like things that would turn their family or community against them, especially if ads start being fed to them related to that information they shared. (Reminds me of how Target had a scandal where they preemptively sent baby supply flyers to women but these women didn't even know they were pregnant yet. Target had just analyzed their purchases and predicted based off their history they were pregnant now.) To have so many scandals that point to them only being in this for the money and not actual providing care, you can trust them every time they say "we've changed".
    It def sucks because a lot of these creators consider themselves "woke" or "care about mental health" but obviously not if multiple fans prob warn you. It's also like as a business shouldn't you stay on top of the news on people you are partnering with? The Better Help FTC judgement was top news for a long while.
