i’ve had friends whose therapy was $200-300 a session. i think it really depends on location & who you’re going to. an idea like better help could be a really good option, but it’s hard to gauge quality over online
Is the quality of BetterHelp actually so much worse than normal therapy in an office? I've heard horrible stories of irl therapists from all across my country, therapists are only human so I take claims like that with a grain of salt
i mean betterhelp is terrible so yay awareness but everything about this sounds SO chronically online. influencers are not role models, they are not preachers, they are not perfect. like okay, if they want to secure a quick bag by promoting a shitty company, so what? so many other big youtubers get off scotch free when it comes to them securing legit MILLIONS in crypto pump schemes. there will always be less than morally ideal people.

It was something like, "Sarah says that BetterHelp is a..." PewDiePie then did a video on BetterHelp and somehow people just Memory-holed the fake reviews and unregulated people who may or may not be therapists... It's kinda crazy how fines for companies are basically like "you did this really messed up thing? just pay me a cut of it and ill let you off free, everything will be fine."
I don't know better help's process for matching you with a therapist or the professionalism those "therapists" may show. Getting therapy was a rather in depth process for me, with an extensive intake and a requirement to go in person at least a few times before remote therapy was available. Online therapy was something I looked at for years, but I think the process I went through for my therapy now is what makes me actually trust it. As for cost, I am probably just a bad person to ask. The group I get therapy through doesn't do any kind of charge for people getting insurance from the state like I do.
barely starting the video but my experience with betterhelp was pretty good. i was at my lowest and was considering game ending myself. My therapist helped me find a sense of comfort i couldnt find elsewhere, and gave me a new way at looking at things that helped me better understand my emotions. It's pricey, but I never had an issue.
I actually tried post a friendly message on Anthony Padilla's channel warning about BetterHelp as I knew about their past scandal on YT but mostly focused on the fine by the FTC which just dropped at the time I commented on a video with a BetterHelp ad. I think the channel has a filter up for the term "better help" as I submitted a comment and it just immediately vanished upon posting. At first I thought it was because I included a link, so I wrote another comment but that one also disappeared when usually comments I post kind of stay on the top right after I post. At this point these content creators don't care because many likely have long standing partnership with BetterHelp who pays them a lot of money. It's just scummy since the FTC stated they were misusing vulnerable people's information to sell ads. They have other websites that basically lead to better help such as services for Christians, LGBT, etc. They prob shared some personal information that would def be risky to be exposed like things that would turn their family or community against them, especially if ads start being fed to them related to that information they shared. (Reminds me of how Target had a scandal where they preemptively sent baby supply flyers to women but these women didn't even know they were pregnant yet. Target had just analyzed their purchases and predicted based off their history they were pregnant now.) To have so many scandals that point to them only being in this for the money and not actual providing care, you can trust them every time they say "we've changed". It def sucks because a lot of these creators consider themselves "woke" or "care about mental health" but obviously not if multiple fans prob warn you. It's also like as a business shouldn't you stay on top of the news on people you are partnering with? The Better Help FTC judgement was top news for a long while.
Ngl the fact so many creators are taking BetterHelp sponsorships again reminds me that a lot of creators are not really all that smart. Like just from a PR perspective alone no one should be willing to touch these guys with a 10-foot pole let alone actually take their sponsorships again.
Little criticism for Tom is that Betterhelp would charge you for a whole month after a week free trial. You’d expect to only pay for the week ahead and not a whole month’s worth of a charge right after only a week.
I don’t know about bots, but I can tell you that they do fuck you up with someone in your area. While I haven’t had to use them personally I have opened up a payment situation for employees to use them if necessary. From their experiences, I asked them if I should keep them. I can say that I think almost everybody was pretty happy. Most were surprise that the therapist ended up being in their area or not too far, but always in the same state. I believe a few actually started seeing that therapist face-to-face that’s the best I got hope that helps.

Tom is the type of guy to slap your hand when you reach for the food, all because its "not ready yet".
I tried better help once, and the therapist I got told me to move into my boyfriend, who I tolder her I wanted to leave.
Caught the early upload also props to u for ur deep dives pookie wookie 😘🫶
i’ve had friends whose therapy was $200-300 a session. i think it really depends on location & who you’re going to. an idea like better help could be a really good option, but it’s hard to gauge quality over online
Tom the type of guy to say "I can fix her".
Meme train fail
Tom the type of guy, to have quantity over quality commentary.
Ted is 6’4 as self admitted in an old callmecarson video 🕺
My 3 inches went somewhere else
It's always BetterHelp ...
So am i taking crazy pills or did everyone just collectively forget that better help got exposed years ago for being a shitty company? Like did everyone just say "its been long enough, plus that bag is looking mighty nice".
It's almost like TH-camrs just want money and don't care what they push onto their audience. Shocking revelation
Tom has to better help me
No one can help you 😃
I don't know anything about Ted regarding any other drama or allegations but Better Help is sketchy.
I'm noticing that every time there's someone sponsoring a TON of TH-cam channels, they end up being involved in some kind of scandal
I'm just happy I don't see the awful ads trying to sell you on the idea of how targeted advertising was like an "idea" for the desired demographic. Advertisers hold way too much power.
My dad actually used betterhelp during a tough time in his life, and it really helped him. Sure there's scandals about it, but it still helped.
Damn, Ted Nivison has discovered the Post Carson Consequences
As the years went by, it seemed Carson needed to leave all of them; he seems to be more happy with his new friend group
@@Yuhyeauhuhsurebuddy1 Yeah, I'm pretty sure all of the old group's channels haven't changed much back before the false allegations came along, I know Jawsh malds a lot about his sub count :)
@@Yuhyeauhuhsurebuddy1 he left so that his controversy didn't affect them and their careers even though carson was pretty much innocent. he does truly miss them. if this ted stuff does turn out to be true then idk man. either way, since carson did a goo job taking responsibilty in his controversy, i just hope the others would come back to make videos with him
@morgana_vr7802 yea I agree, Carson was a better friend by separating from them to protect them.
@@Yuhyeauhuhsurebuddy1he didn't separate to protect them. Maybe a few specific ones, but most fully cut him out. Schlatt, traves, cscoop and slime all made video's explicitly stating that.
Holy crap I love how blatant BH is in its terms
"Its YOUR responsibility to know if these guys are legit, idiot. Thanks for the money"
I live in New Hampshire near Tom and I can say that with health insurance I pay $20 a visit
The youtuber (who is a real life therapist) Mickey Atkins did a video before the lawsuit with all of the allegations, including their sister site saying a bunch of therapists work for them when they don't, and they went after her so she had to take it down. She went over the lawsuit after the fact but she had to be careful about what she talked about. How shitty to go after a real therapist trying to protect patients just to be sued for breaking hippa laws lol
FIANLLU BRO I WAS LIKE “why are we promoting better help again?”
therapy can be great for some people, but it's hella expensive. and its a trial and error process to find the right therapist for you which can be a massive pain; ya gotta be able to be super comfortable w/ur therapist
Not surprised considering how he handle his friendship with Carson tbf
Andy Warski did a stream where he proved that BetterHelp was a scam because the testimonial was a video of a man reading a script, instead of saying, "I had a good experience." It was something like, "Sarah says that BetterHelp is a..."
PewDiePie then did a video on BetterHelp and somehow people just Memory-holed the fake reviews and unregulated people who may or may not be therapists...
At the time, people believed that Philip DeFranco had ties to the company.
The site also said something like, "We have the right to record sessions." Which means someone's therapy session could end up anyway...
I saw someone on TikTok once get billed $4000 for therapy even though they only ever matched with a therapist and never had a session.
That therapist looks like she just caught you in her swamp
Imagine living in New England but when people ask u have to admit ur a Mainer. devastated!!!
I will literally kill to have the chance to live in Maine that place is unbelievably goated
@@understandable9641 Mainers be so fucking dirt poor man cmon. Maine is Florida just equipped with literally nothing but a cedar candle & moving a lot slower cuz they actually got to wait for their brains to go thru the thaw each & every year
Don't get me wrong, it's beaaaaaisiiaidisiiaisiful!!!! Just don't let the state somehow take ur drivers licence in a span of four hours or else u too will return to one of many lagoons
I listen to the chuckle sandwich podcast
tom when he’s from maine WTF i thought nobody lived here, at least i’m not alone!
Is Tom still bitter about the whole Pryo fiasco?
Yes
I’m one of the people whose comments Tom read. BH was the only thing available to me when I started with them. I googled my counselor’s certifications, and have found her to be excellent.
BH is basically a clearing house for independent contractors, like Fiverr for the fucked up lol
I might be in the minority, but it’s been a good experience
I also had a good experience with them during the pandemic especially. I happened to get a pretty great and certified counselor too.
Better help has deposited 50 cents into both of your accounts
I feel like betterhelp would be a really good scheme to use the transcripts between the "therapists" and the "patients" to train a "therapist" LLM.
Also tom the kinda guy to poopmax without farting
Ya betterhelp is just a scam. The therapists have no background checks, at that point it’s like getting your medical info from TikTok
It's kinda crazy how fines for companies are basically like "you did this really messed up thing? just pay me a cut of it and ill let you off free, everything will be fine."
Anything advertised heavily everywhere immediately makes me suspicious. Shows a profit driven entity that's unlikely be a decent product/service.
The group I get therapy through doesn't do any kind of charge for people getting insurance from the state like I do.
i like how tom has just become less political destiny. goes in depth and researches current event/drama topics on stream. based.
barely starting the video but my experience with betterhelp was pretty good.
i was at my lowest and was considering game ending myself.
My therapist helped me find a sense of comfort i couldnt find elsewhere, and gave me a new way at looking at things that helped me better understand my emotions.
It's pricey, but I never had an issue.
Ive seen story where someone’s therapist was driving during their zoom call lol.
Mr metokur and that part of the internet covered betterhelps misleading marketing when Boogie was sponsored by them
Thats crazy, therapy only costs $30 in cali if you have insurance
Just so you know betterhell didn't “support genocide” they helped Israeli citizens who were effected by the October 7th massacre
i think soggy cereal is just putting those disclaimers to avoid any possible issues with litigation
Little criticism for Tom is that Betterhelp would charge you for a whole month after a week free trial. You’d expect to only pay for the week ahead and not a whole month’s worth of a charge right after only a week.
These guys are back on the scene
I don’t know about bots, but I can tell you that they do fuck you up with someone in your area. While I haven’t had to use them personally I have opened up a payment situation for employees to use them if necessary. From their experiences, I asked them if I should keep them. I can say that I think almost everybody was pretty happy. Most were surprise that the therapist ended up being in their area or not too far, but always in the same state. I believe a few actually started seeing that therapist face-to-face that’s the best I got hope that helps.
this is like a 9 day old stream clip lmao
Tom the type of guy to be his girlfriend's therapist
Curious to see why the better help thing is only Ted's problem, over half of the TH-camrs I sub to have been sponsored by better help.
