I’m a 57 year old hospice nurse in the southern US. It never snows here. I’ll never snowboard down a majestic mountain but THIS makes my heart race! Wow! THIS makes me feel alive!
I’m 57 and live in Western Australia and we don’t even have mountains let alone snow! The thing that keeps me alive is going snowboarding. I started when I was 38. You aren’t too old to learn. I keep fit because that is my goal to keep going. I’ve met people in their 70s who snowboard. I snowboarded in Chamonix last year. It was the last place I was at before the COVID-19 hit. I haven’t boarded for a year now and it’s been like breaking up with someone. There is an empty feeling and my heart feels broken. I have to watch films like Frozen Mind to keep me on track. To keep me alive and motivated and exercising. Governments have decided they need to stop me from travelling and lock me up for my safety. All I want to do is be at the top of a black run and fly down a mountain. I want to float on powder through trees. Fit and healthy, the virus is less of a problem then a double black in Chamonix for me! Go and try snowboarding. Get fit. Watch videos on TH-cam. You get an instructor to hold your hands and you will be snowboarding in two days. There is nothing more magical gliding on powder along a snowy track with big flakes falling. As a hospice nurse, you deserve to be rewarded for everything you have done for others.
Thank you for being a Hospice nurse. Much respect to you. I'm 25 and I have never snowboarded but I want to try it some time. I have current things that make it to where I can't if I wanted to but one day maybe. I really like the weather when it's cooler and not too hot. I've only seen snow in person 2 times. Both when I was growing up. I remember making a snowball and snowman and having fun. Lol
@@jodog9983 Hi there, Down Under! Well I live in front or the Alps, by the lake that I actually...surf (whenever possible)! ;-) This year I got back in the mountains after several years (and 3 kids later!). Have a look at my latest movies. You might appreciate. Btw: I'm a Physiotherapist and have been developping the "Surftherapy", using surfboards as tools for rehabilitation in Physiotherapy. Some vids online as well. Keep having a healthy creative and inspiring life! Best regards from a collegue from the other hemisphere or our beautiful planet! Boris Vonlanthen Ps: Been surfing for the 1st time in...WA!!!! (2004) ;-)
I’m 56 in the uk and snowboard twice a year every year . chamonix is special. It’s full of crazy limit pushers. When you know where to go it’s off piste terrain is a blast.
I live in probably the worst place to ski, snowboard, or tube on the snow. Im in love with watching videos just like this. Im way too young to do anything like traveling but I just can’t wait until i have the chance to go out and be free and live like this. Thanks for sharing your adventures and thanks redbull for creating this cinematic masterpiece. ❤
I’ve climbed a lot in Chamonix and I’ve been snowboarding in that area for a long time. But Seeing these guys ride some of that stuff is mind blowing. Just staggering. This is what next level looks like !

I am utterly confused how any one could have possibly given this beast of a film a thumbs down. My heart is just pounding!!! I thought for sure it was going to end bad. Totally invigorating. Now I have to get a new keyboard I cried so much.
Congrats for the film. Immensely immersive. Kept me deeply emotional from the beginning to the end. Yours is a lifestyle I´m hardly fighting to have some day. In the meantime I deal with the pressure of time counting down every day that I spend my short youth living far from the mountains. You made me feel there. You´ll make me work even harder to be sooner in the top of that mountain remembering that times when I was looking at that sunrise in front of a screen in my room with tears in my eyes. Thank you. Víctor Güell
Damn. That was a really moving film. Stoked that we are able to watch this for free right here on TH-cam. Thanks Victor, Pierre & Xav for making this, and thanks to RedBull for enabling us to watch it. Chamonix does seem to be on another level; the ability to step off a cable car, do some of these lines, and then be back in town for a mid-afternoon coffee is insane. Definitely going to have to take a visit sooner or later.
Holy cow, what on mother earth was that? I kept watching with my eyes wide open, forgetting to breath - only taking breaths once out of oxygen, my stomach was cramping, yet I could not stop smiling in absolute amazement. Truly epic video! Good luck dudes and be save! The winter is coming. 😉
the only thing is... I don't think RB contributed with anything beyond paying for the rights to distribute this awesome movie on their channels. If you check the credits, RB doesn't have any. It means, they were not on-board untill everything was ready and they check the finished product. basically, they did not do more than just throw money at the production team after every detail was finished/completed. zero involvement!
As someone who now lives (and snowboards!) in the Pyrenees, I love watching these videos of Xavier, Victor and their friends. Inventive, inspiring, respectful and hugely skillful riders, films like this and Twenty convey all the raw emotions of being in the mountains. Chapeau.
In the last 3 days I've watched this and "20" and they are, by far, the two best ski movies I've ever seen. So good. And I loved the idea of the older brother narrating.
12:00 Swigging back brandy, having bread & jam. 12:10 Climbing ice wall in the freakin' dark. Love it! Love them! This entire doc is mindblowingly amazing. The music, the commentary, the getting to know them, the POV filming, the cinematography overall is just insane, the drone work...omg. Best, hands down, no contest, absolute best doc on this, or heck, any sport. Huge props to everyone, especially Victor, Pierre & Xavier. There are not enough 'wows' on the planet.
Redbull, this was an incredible 33 minutes of my life. The cinematography, storyline and gnarly runs let me live vicariously through your athletes. Thank you.
Who needs a psychologist when you have a vid like this to watch, and make it all go away. What an amazing, epic vid guys! A big thanks going out to the boys, who risk it all for us, for vids like this to watch in total amazement. Thanks again guys. Happy New Year everyone.
Watching this video is being like the super athletes help you to make your impossible dream come true. RESPECT, and stay SAFE. Top watching experience.
Quick hack if you guys enjoy these incredible films: on RedBull's website they release them quite a bit sooner, watched this film again anyways because it's so special!
Bravo à tous........médaille d'or des médailles d'or....sans oublier les caméramans....Bravo à tous...!!!

The blue ice and the snow is very beautful. It's as mysterious and majestic as the ocean itself.
134 resort skiers hated this EPIC video. Mad respect to Victor, Pierre & Xavier for pushing the limits.
wait whyd they hate it?
Resort skiers? Idk that seems too specific. Do you hate people who skii at resorts or something? Lol.
Genuinely one of the best films I've ever seen. Totally inspired.

Red bull has done more for extreme sports than any company.
From the ocean and land to mountain peaks and the skies to the Stratosphere.
Phenomenal.
RedBull does it best! The music, the cinematic of the scenes, the action. All's present here.
Dudes are insane!
