Besides the movie giving me chills, the voice over is so nice to listen to. Non stop action. Good film work. Good skiing. Simply by far better then any ski film I’ve watched. Deserves an Oscar
Great skiing, but the frequent cuts between the drone shots and the first person view were hard to watch. Especially the spinning overhead drone shots. One man's opinion. I"m sure some people loved it.
@@BlankCollectivefilms thanks for the response. Hope it doesn’t come across as too harsh. Love your work and I’m a big supporter of what you guys do. I just like to see the big mountain shots from one angle top to bottom. But I’m an old guy so maybe I’m out of touch. Much love
Yep, I respectfully agree. Angles were very hectic in the first segment and while sure, it helps you see the terrain, I feel like it takes away from the line. just my opinion. the rest was sick.
I remember skiing at White Water in BC way back in 1980, early April and still nice powder at the top. Then driving down to Sandpoint ID for some classic spring skiing. T shirt weather and motorcycles in town. The PNW is so very stimulating ( especially when you are 23 ;-).
I really like that you pay homage to the place you’re in, the ecosystem, the comrades, and with a nod to something deeper than the usual “sick talk”. You keep it fairly low key and palatable though the skiing is ridiculous, I fast forwarded through a bunch of it, but I love the places you got to and the photography was excellent. Good tunes too.
Those lodges are amazing! Fairy Meadows was my fav. Baker local for 25 years, now chilling in Costa Rica, miss it. Nice Baker shots, you got it good Get it!
I'm speechless, well almost. Just amazing filmography and skills from these guys, along with some very large huevos to tackle these ski lines. The powder looked tasty. What an incredible trip thru the Cascades. Thanks for a superb ski film. It's definitely one of the best ski films I've ever seen in my 40 years of watching ski adventures. Reminded me of a perfect day I had skiing the trees at Jackson Hole after a night of 3 feet of fresh powder.
Gosh damnit watching this on a 4K TV and a proper soundbar system makes this movie on whole different level😮 . I was getting goosebumps throug whole movie❤ Thank you for this masterpiece you put together😊
I'm probably going to be the curmudgeon here. I realize there are limitations to the type of ski technique here due to use of randonee/AT type boots and fat boards being utilized in the movie...but has anyone heard of a short radius turn? A smear turn does have its place in our skier toolbox, but why does everyone either smear their turns or do a straight line? There was so much terrain that could have been skied, but the skiers wasted so much of it just going straight. I'm an old guy that has jumped into S&S couloir in Jackson (and stuck the landing) and have done single flips in powder, so I have some cred. But I never ski on super fat boards that have rounded tips on both ends. I prefer a cambered ski or one with slight rockers, but not fat skis. Powder skiing is about the sensation of going deep into the snow and up unweighting or rebounding into the next turn. A less wide ski will let the skier have ski tips always under the snow surface on a powder day, and it is technique that will allow you to make an appropriate turn. I have seen a lot of terrain waisted at ski areas because no one is skiing the fall line and the fat skis everyone is using is either doing straight runs or smear turns with a wide almost like traverse between turns. This is why I prefer to watch ski racing instead a cliff jumpers with bad technique jumping off cliffs or mashing pillows for the camera. Nonetheless...I still enjoyed the movie.
We ski fast to outrun our slough a lot of the time. As a ski racer myself smear turns are fun and skiing big lines is like skiing a super G. There is nothing wrong with getting a bunch of turns in but there is less adrenaline and wow factor from that. Thanks for watching!
@@stanrey7 Very well put sir, spent many many years obsessed on my technique, ski rossignol 201 mtre skis,, ,,ice hockey short radius bang bang turns was my forte,,technique perfectionist,,BUT ALL of that said, it made me shut up and enjoy this spectacular display of pure adrenalin and JOY,Excuse even my little boast,NEVER TO TAKE AWAY FROM THIS AMAZING FILM!! Hey guys n girls,,as we used to say in Valdiere,,NEVER STOP MAKING MADNESS A WAY OF LIFE!! Keep SHINING
Had to stop due to the canned, cheesy narration. Why not interview the skiers, their relation to each other, and the great lengths they took to even get there this season?
Lifetime snowboarder here. There has never been a video that has made me want to try skiing as much as this one.
Come to the dark side)
this movie needs a million more views. so much pillow skiing back to back it had me goin “woah”
It has half a million on the Salomon page
We are very excited to present Tales From Cascadia - huge thank you to athletes, crew & sponsors for an incredible season. See you are 5pm PST!
Great shots! Sadly they were a bit ruined by the editing, the cuts were a little too frequent and I had a seizure lmao
One of the best ski films I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them.
Watching this in summer never ben so hyped up for winter after watching this awsome movie
Besides the movie giving me chills, the voice over is so nice to listen to. Non stop action. Good film work. Good skiing. Simply by far better then any ski film I’ve watched. Deserves an Oscar
This came out so much better than I thought a random click in my TH-cam recommended would be.
I hope when I'm 38 I can ski as hard and look as cool as Hoji--that dude is a straight up legend
My knees hurt just watching this. They have amazing technique and pick lines that are beyond hard. Get it while you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every Thanksgiving i watch a ski movie. This is the best one ive watched in 5 years ealsiy!
You can't even appreciate the skiing with all those sweeping drone shots at the start...
That beginning pow sesh 9:30 is completely bonkers... gets me so stoked
Mind: BLOWN.
Great skiing, but the frequent cuts between the drone shots and the first person view were hard to watch. Especially the spinning overhead drone shots.

Thanks for the feedback - always trying to keep things fresh and will take that into consideration. Appreciate you watching.

Entertaining. The last line is surprising for its honesty. They actually do feel fear and ski through it.
We sure do. We're not super humans even though sometimes I wish we were. 😂
That was as good as it gets. Thanks!!
Such a rad film!

This is really a movie about how bad ass the drone photographer is.

This is the sickest video I've ever seen by a mile

What tan or sand ski clothing were you guys rockin? Looked good. Sick sick video. Enjoyed it a ton.
Nice skiing. Drone shots mostly made me dizzy, couldn't finish the video.

Why does the narrator sound exactly like Joe from the show You? Lol
To som wariaty 🤗🙃😋
So sick to see coles journey from young gunz till now
What is the map app you us in this video?
Alright, i found this app
I am eight minutes in... why don't they give the locations?
How many takes? Be honest. The more the merrier. Means hard work.
14:37 Does anyone know the song title and artist?
camera angles are pretty repetitive.
I'm not sure exactly how to describe how this this video makes me feel. I think the best I can come up with is that it makes my soul horny.
Poor cook. Not allowed to do any skiing :(

Powder dreams
people still ski huh?
pffft, who knew.
Great line but this got TIRED AF with the same shot sequence over and over and over in the first 10 minutes.
For reference th-cam.com/video/qPQQJTgumso/w-d-xo.html
I have a whole new list of skiers to follow now.....wow,you all achieved excellence.
More cute non telemarkers. Get with it
1 thing i dont get, 400k views and only 3.3k likes
Great skiing, not fond of the intro quick image flashes, not fond of the music
Had to stop due to the canned, cheesy narration. Why not interview the skiers, their relation to each other, and the great lengths they took to even get there this season?
Why don’t you tell us where you are skiing, is it a secret? 95% of people who watch your movie will never ski the terrain you are skiing!
A million edits does not make a film great. Hyper editing is a disease.
sick ski movie, music made it feel like i was watching a toyata commercial the whole time.
The ski and snowboard movies are always overhyped.
