@rashidaq actually everyone is waiting for the corona to go in hell and the curfew to be removed to just experience the beauty of the kashmir. But one fact that nobody can't deny is that there are militants who is harming the country only because of that curfew is being applied. I'm saying that because I was in kashmir in july 2019 and rested with a well known muslim family. They only told me......there are militants all over here..and you are safe until you are within the boundary of a kashmiri's home and it was 11PM when he offered us a free stay and food with great assurance of being safe.

I have spent many months over a period of 25 years in this fabulous country - a part of my heart is always in that part of the world with extraordinary humans !
I'm French and I've been many times to Pakistan, for business, before it became so much hit by extremism and terrorism. And I also have only one word : NICE. Nice people. I visited many countries and always said to my friends how nice, warm and welcoming is the Pakistani people I met. They couldn't believe me........
The terrorism starter in 2007. Why? Because pakistan is partnering with usa against war on terror. When American bombed Afghanistan, some of its government came to Pakistan. As there was no concept of border between 2 countries. Both have shared cities and towns and villages on zero line. When we side we usa. There is a resentment but when usa started bombing us, to hunt those Afghans who have hidden in pakistan and many pakistanis too die in those attacks. That created hate and the attacks started against Pakistani government for siding with usa. This was not our war. We sided with usa and that why we are punished. But we have done huge operations in 2013 to clear our areas. Border with Afghanistan is fenced. Its just 30 to 40 lakh Afghans refugees who create problems. But things are much better now. This area shown in documentary never seen any terrorism or even crime. The police stations are just empty.
@@hassanaftab1270 True allying with the USA was a huuuge mistake. Like the famous American war criminal Kissinger said “To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.”

"Why is the flame burning still? Why do I climb? Why do I have to come get lost at the end of these mountains? Attraction of the unknown? Commitment? Reaching the summit? Yeah, there we are, that's why the flame is still burning." These lines just sent chills down my spine. Epic storytelling, Kudos!! Regards Faizan Malik from Islamabad
Heart it my throat, sweating palms, fear and excitement for the adventure, I hoped you all would come back from and the aching feeling of something I'd never experience myself. My son has been here, walked frozen rivers up passes, climbed, stayed within tiny villages, drank yak tea, snowboarded unknown places and now travels the world guiding. As a mom it is an anxiety riddled feeling to see so intimately through this film what he actually experiences, as a human who longs to be so addicted to something that I'd risk so much I rejoice in his life. Taking deep breaths myself to relax now after watching this amazing adventure. What a film, thank you for sharing this epic experience.
Mind-blowing scenes. The Camera man needs to be given a noble prize for his wonderful work which is par-excellence. We salute the all the brave protagonists. Salutation to all the pakistani helpers, without whom this expedition wouldn't have been possible. Three cheers to the Frenchman for guiding the youths. Hope to visit such beautiful places, one day and experience the Pakistani hospitality. God bless you all.

I gave the MVP award to the guide. He looked after those guys like they were his own babies. He didn't coddle them or hold them back. He was just there, watching over them and encouraging them and advising them every step of the way.

I am watching this movie after we lost our hero Muhammad ali sadfara and John snorri and juan pablo during winter k2 summit expedition, a great story and thriller documery .
One of the best snowboarding, skiing mountaineering inspiring films I've ever seen. Love it when the two cracks appeared in the snow and he just says no too dangerous lets get down as soon as possible. Know the limits! Know what happens when you push past them. A huge example of sensible choices giving you the chance to try it another day or be satisfied that you got that far and lived to tell the tale. Absolutely brilliant. I just wish I had one of these bloody mountains in my back garden though!
What an amazing, picturesque, stunning, breathtaking film/documentary! If only Game of Thrones producers could have shot some beyond The Wall scenes. I am pretty sure the night walkers would have frozen their ass off here. I had no idea Pakistan was so amazingly beautiful. I did some googling and was amazed to find out that 5/14 eight-thousanders peaks are in Pakistan. They have 108 peaks above 7,000m and 4,555 peaks above 6,000m and infinite peaks above 5,000m. The whole of N. America has 1 peak around 6,000m and not a single peak in Europe above 5,000m. Unbelievable!!
..and out of those 5 8-thousanders there are 2 the most beautiful and the most difficult.. the mighty and savage K2 and the huge and massive the one and only Nanga Parbat!
Thank you for Praising Pakistan and Pakistani people! Thanks a lot for being here in Pakistan. We will welcome you people infact all over the world to Pakistan again and again... 🥰
This is truly a high quality special document, because the participants feerlings and emotions are described so well. All awards given are well deserved. Bit suprised that their acclimatation in high altitudes was not done with the way it is normally done. Why not? Their skiing skills are on the level needed. But.. the risk of avalance is on those steep mountains is huge. They had luck needed. Happy to find this great vlog ✌️

I have way more respect for someone who knows his limits and says he doesnt want to risk his life in a very sketchy situation than people who do it anyway for a little bit of fame. He is one of the guys who will say things like "they died doing what they love" about his friends in a documentary several years later..
That's a wise young guy, still able to use his own brain yet being involved in a collective performance. His fellows behaved wisely as well accepting his giving up, with no attempts to push him beyond his will and easily into serious jeopardy.

At many points while watching this documentary, my eyes were filled and I kept getting goosebumps. If only I had the resources to explore my own country like this, I would've never left. Every day I watch these documentaries, look at the beauty and unique nature Pakistan has to offer and my heart keeps drowning more and more realizing the fact how far I am from my heavenly home. I THANK YOU guys for producing such a wonderful documentary, full of emotions, full of joy and full of adventure. Pakistan has been through a lot, she really deserves to be seen and perceived like this. Love you guys for this, you guys are amazing. ZABARDAST
I have spent many months over a period of 25 years in this fabulous country - a part of my heart is always in that part of the world with extraordinary humans !
👍💯❤️ from 🇵🇰💚 Pakistan
Thank you madam🌹🌹❤❤
That's because of America now Pakistan is safe again Alhumdulliah
Watching this in it's entirety for the 3rd time. Pakistan looks surreal, can't wait to experience the wilderness of the North one day myself
Visited Pakistan and the northern areas, beautiful mountain scenery and the most gracious hospitable people.
Well worth a visit.
Thank you Pakistan and Pakistani people 🇵🇰

What an amazing country. I wish you all peace and happiness. It is an honor to watch such brave men. I too am a climber who has done all of the Austrian peaks though nothing like K2
54 minutes of absolute realness, realism and reality...
Could have been a bit more real though
Totally agreed
"Why is the flame burning still?
Why do I climb?
Why do I have to come get lost at the end of these mountains?
Attraction of the unknown?
Commitment?
Reaching the summit?
Yeah, there we are, that's why the flame is still burning."
These lines just sent chills down my spine. Epic storytelling, Kudos!!

these lines literally brought tears to my eyes! beautiful!
Absolutely. It resonates in me.
One of the best alpine adventure movies ever.

@Abdur Rehman Bajwa Sure Abdur Rehman, I am hoping and praying that India and Pakistan resolve their differences, at the earliest. As everything normalises, I would be the first to visit your side of Paradise. God bless you. Thanks a lot for your hospitable invitation. GBU
Watched this movie after passing of Mohammad Ali Sadpara. I started to get real intrigued by mountaineering and stumbled upon this movie. It was amazing. R.I.P to Sadpara SIR.
Aameen
Know your limit, turn back and live to tell the story, Thomas, you've got my respect! This was an incredible expedition!
never seen my country like this, thank you.
Superbe comme film !! Finally the gravitas and the reality of " earning your turns ", that make the RedBull pro films look like the marketing fluff they are. There's having the skills, then there's these guys who are exposing their fears, no sly smile to camera, no heli evac. Braver than I'll ever be.
I am literally crying after watching this movie. I miss my country so much. Miss you Pakistan 🇵🇰 ❤️ you have no idea how much I miss you. Stay blessed always. Love from USA 🇺🇸
Lol... So... why don't you go back there if you miss it. No shame in it.
Hey, man, I completely understand your feeling. This doc makes me crying too. I have to pause several times to smooth my emotion.
And I also miss the Tibet snow mountains, which are so beautiful as yours. Alaska has some wonderful snow mountain, but I feel those don't belong to me..
@@glacefeale9212 he lives in US for job.

Wow. I literally feel like ive just come home after watching this. This film took me away - Pakistan looks like a lovely, rugged and unexplored country where its people seem so warm and friendly. These adventurers are brave beyond most of us but mostly -brave enough to live their lives to the fullest! - a true testament to the human spirit at its brightest burning light! Great narration, great footage and excellent sound track. Thank you from CANADA!

Pakistan, the 3rd largest English speaking country in the world. 4th highest number of doctors and engineers in the world. 4th biggest world milk producer. 2nd biggest rock salt reserves. Largest ambulance network in the world, EDHI ambulance. 5th largest military force. Biggest manufacturer of footballs, soccer balls in the world. 2nd biggest producer of dates. 4th biggest producer of rice. Largest water irrigation network in the world Alhamdulillah. The list goes on. A force to reckon. One of 7 main nuclear powers in the world. However, Western media mostly highlight the bad incidents which happen in every country in the world. Media here too has mostly bad news about other countries. Media is like that. ❤️ From 🇵🇰💚 Pakistan
I gave the MVP award to the guide. He looked after those guys like they were his own babies. He didn't coddle them or hold them back. He was just there, watching over them and encouraging them and advising them every step of the way.
"I lost ten Kgs and gained seven friends"
- Best line of the documentary

Agreed this was really well done and edge of your seat drama.
The very human part of the dangers( the oh shit why am I doing this? Or wtf am I doing here) are so real you can taste them.

By far, one of the very best films Ive ever watched. Beautiful scenary. Bless from Costa Rica
No words. Just thanks for taking us there. Wow.

You're full of shit. And I'm only saying that, because there is a fly stuck to your avatar.
But completely agree.
Have you ever seen the documentary of the guy free climbing el capitán? It took him quite a bit to finally do it.
I HATE IT I HATE IT
DOING WHAT HE LOVE
an at 22 live better live than you.i took offense to minions tellin me wing suit guy 100 jump of the same thing live more than I in repetitive motion
What I've notice non every watch why plane cant bank without flaps and yoke .no barometric in mind or wind shear is why most die.only takes quick left for drag and you dropping
Oh yes..then two weeks later he gone by wing suit
To sleep on side is the most unreal .holy christ I m freaking out thinking about that climb
Fastest way up is BIZZARE too
May his dog rest in peace
True 👍💯. Those slopes were risky and on top of that deep ice. And elevation above 5000 meters. unless you are 100% sure and in the element.
