All going along the stages of contract negotiation, 1. Ask for more than you're worth 2. Make "cryptic" tweets and posts to social media about how you're not being appreciated 3. Request a trade 4. Scrub all mentions of prior team from your social media 5. Hold out for camp 6. Eventually sign a contract 7. Be out of shape and go from having an All Pro year to mediocre "We paid him HOW MUCH?" year.
Tho it’s been this way for 1o months
Cept he’s worth what he asking for. The team not having it available is something completely different.
It isn't that he's not worth it. He's going to get a big deal. The 49ers just can't afford to pay him because they just paid CMC and bosa and deebo and Trent Williams is the highest paid LT in the league and they're going to sign Purdy next year.
You can't pay everyone. So what they'll do is hold onto him this year and do a tag and trade deal. They'll get less but they want to keep as much of this roster around Purdy as they can.
Because they know he's not a QB that will go out and win you a game on his own, but he's great when he's surrounded by talent.

Move on and be a bum somewhere else
They're not offering him what he wants is the issue.
Unlikely they pay him the 30M he wants and pay Purdy the 60M.
@@clintonmassengale8455 Take your own advice you Aiyuk fangirl
They drafted 2 wrs in high rounds… the writing has been on the wall for awhile 😂
Yes! Someone who gets it!
You consider. A 4th rd pick high? I would have to disagree
@@Maltakes2023very cool
@@Maltakes20234 is higher # than 1 or 2 and 3
That’s not really issue if he got drafted higher they would have more time before they would have to pay him. 4th isn’t a high round there’s still a lot of talent there but not a high round. The issue is when you draft a low round player they turn out to be a stud then you have to pay them sooner. So typical you wanna get you’re stars in the first so you have that 5th year option
Imagine desperately trying to get traded off a Super Bowl contender.
If I were management, I'd trade him to the Pats 😂

Right. The Pats are gonna stink for a long time now. I predict they will be the next Cleveland Browns. One amazing era - then decades of horrendous football.
As a Pats fan, I agree.
Every WR now thinks they should be paid like Justin Jefferson smh 🤦♂️
Why wouldn’t they

Funny that Acho felt strongly about it too Aiyuk felt disrespected it’s an ego thing because he got offered 26.14mil an amount he would hv accepted 6 months before and would hv accepted 28mil until he and his agent wanted to see what JJ is going to get. I hate when they use the words “support and take care of his family” but it’s really about ego.
Bro seriously wants to play for the Commanders for some reason lmao
Only reason would be $$$$. Cause he ain't putting up numbers on that roster... or winning games
Yeah good luck without shanahan, Purdy and the other guys to take pressure off you!
It’s for the money. They clearly don’t care about him boy needs to get his money
Not about the money Daniels was his Qb in college there still friends
To play with his former college teammate Jayden Daniels and the GM (Adam Peters) that scouted and drafted him

Super smart on the money side. But it could “stir the pot” because he’ll just hold out next year
@@troypeterson7506the rules are in the teams favor there. The fines are large and I'm not sure if the teams are allowed to waive them anymore. And if he sits out, he doesn't gain a year of service.
Plus he would get about $48 mil or so guaranteed for 2 years. No pity from me. Plus you know SF is offering top 10 money, they want him there, but can't at top 3 prices with their roster and needing to pay Brock next season.
I think somthing that needs to be accepted is that if a team member is acting like this, youre doing yourself a favor in trading them
Tyreek hill went for 2022 1,2,4 and 2023 4,6 he went for a ton

Is he worth that?
BA is not on either of their level, not even close
@@domdomdiddy3036 Agreed
Tyreek and Davantae were BOTH traded for a first round pick and a second round pick and more WITH a new contract. So I don’t know what yall are saying but Aiyuk could easily go for a first round pick
So a year of good production is worth a first nah you guys would probably get a high second. Don’t forget hill and Adam’s had a few years of really good numbers before they were traded for 1sts. Man has one break out year and expects everything.
😂 this clown really tryin to put Aiyuk on the same level as Hill and d.Adams.
@@Det.johnkimble Hell no, but that’s what people will pay for a player they believe can propel their team to the next level. Deshaun Watson went for THREE first rounders with that awful contract. I don’t believe SF would trade Aiyuk for anything less, that’s all.

@@Black4Cookwe literally aren’t paying anyone on offense. Steelers will go into next offseason with the second most cap space. Pittsburgh could over pay if they want.

Aiyuk for Adams? A lil raiders niners wr swap would be interesting
Yes sir! I said the same thing this morning. That would be the best case scenario for both players.
Adams seems to like being a Raider, and the raiders have no reason to make that trade.
Adam's contract is heavy.
Not gonna pay Aiyuk not willing to pay Adams

Hey, i hope he is happy where he ends up but dang im tired of the drama us niners fans had to deal with this offseason. Cant wait to see ricky develope and earn his spot on the offense
Imagine turning your nose up at 26 Million to win a ring with a team where everyone is a producer, wild. You gotta be delulu. Waddle can have his 27 Million because he’s not getting a ring. So what’s a ring worth in addition to your contract these days?
Niners aren't getting a ring either, so might as well go for more money.
Wild assuming the Niners will actually get one 😂
@@HDreamerthey have gotten close twice. This is like saying Lebron would never get a ring after missing his chance twice
The Niners win last Super Bowl if they didn’t lose Deebo and Dre Greenlaw to in game injuries. The offense moved through Deebo and Greenlaw is one of the 5 best LB’s in the NFL.
Kyle the coach, gone choke
Chiefs got a 1st, 2nd, 4th, 4th, and 6th for Tyreek lol. Not sure where his "3rd and 6th" came from. they built the defense that won them 2 superbowls by trading him
And here is one of the biggest issues with the NFL, the contract rules and franchise tags. If I heard correct, Aiyuk is tagged AND under contract for 3 more seasons, a contract that he agreed to and signed, but yet now wants to demand a trade or to have his deal redone because he don't loke it no more and he wants more $$$
Selfish baby boy, screams me me me and I'm bigger than the team.
Let him sit if that's what he wants to do. Played your hand now #11, eat crow and enjoy your unpaid time off!
He can just play , but i can tell you he won’t talk to a single mf in that locker room
@@mattycampyhave to get as much money as you can as soon as you can. He could play week 1 and on play 1 never be able to play again.
You didn’t hear it correctly. Aiyuk is under contract for one more season (the 2024 season) because the 49ers picked up his 5th year option on his rookie deal. He hasn’t signed anything else besides his rookie deal in 2020. He could not get signed long term and end up being tagged next season and the following season as well so that’s 3 seasons in theory the 49ers could retain him. But would he play under the tag or would he hold out?
It’s always weird when folks like you get mad about stuff like this. I accepted years ago pro sports are a business. Just because you accept whatever a company pays you, doesn’t mean he has to.
@@dashawnballard52tf would any of the players have to do with his contract 😂 he’d still talk to them lmao
Bills fan here. We are going to find out how we stack up against the niners, and we are looking forward to it
Hes trying to go to the Pack 🧀
As an Eagles fan only thing I care about is that he's not traded to Washington
One of Aiyuks strengths is his run blocking. He is always willing and good at it. The 9ers offense is one where that is very important. If they don’t get a deal done I am sure his willingness will adjust accordingly
Definitely Hines ward type stuff when he blocks 🤘🏼
These players putting the bag ahead of a SB and then get upset and complain about how bad the team does smh. All the while fans foot the bill of these climbing contracts.
Jacksonville can use an other receiver.
He is currently under contract with the 49ers and if he doesn't show up for mandatory training camp then they should place BA on the UN able to perform list and bench him
He’s officially a Steeler🤙🏾💛🖤
If he goes to the Stillers… we have a chance!!! 🎉
COME TO PITTSBURGH !!!!!
NFC teams are like 😂😂😂😂
Vikings will trade you Addison for Aiyuk straight up 😂
The Niners can have him play on a 5th-year deal and tag him the year after and it would cost them less than the 30M yearly average Aiyuk is seeking. The only thing the Niners set to gain by getting him signed for the 30M / y asking price is cap flexibility in year 2.
10:42 Tyreek Hill went for like a 1st and multiple other picks I think 5 or more lol
Let’s go pats we have the money
Jags dodged a bullet not agreeing to trade with Niners for this guy.
Anywhere? Theres a couple of teams he would have to fight for the 2nd spot. Not many, but there is a couple.
look at the amount of legends that have been through the organization over the last 50 years, theres a formula there forsure on how to deal with that stuff.
He’s gunna end up a Brown or a Jet 😂😂
the bills should be interested
Would've rather watched this on hard knocks off-season
I just hope he’s smart and doesn’t come to camp out of shape when he actually shows up.
How come they get rid of you whenever they feel like it?
Dude is still on his rookie contract. No team should want a guy that is not willing to fulfill a contract that was signed by him. For all of you that say hey it's just business, you're correct same for the 49ers also.
Here goes Pat again not understanding why a team doesn't just give a player all the money when they're literally already under contract.
Would be WR3 on my rams
The Rams in all there history has never ever ever had a selfish receiver. From Elroy Hirsh to Jack Snow, Preston Dennard, Henry Ellard, Ike Bruce, Torry Holt, Kupp and Puka. Whiners it's every single year.
As Steelers fan, Omar Khan is trying to get him. Idk why 49ers are playing hard to get?
Ok the main Cover for this video says “Aiyuk requests trade, 49ers refuse to honor it?!” is click bait just for the word “honor”. Because if there’s someone who needs to honor anything, it should be Aiyuk honoring his 14 mil contract instead of asking for an increase and when 49ers said ok we’ll give you 26.14 mil he still wanted more and when he couldn’t get it created drama, and now a trade. SMH
Davante did get traded for a first round pick
I imagine Aiyuk will have a sore hamstring or some other minor issue soon.
Bro we knew this 8 months ago?
Hell no, not paying a replacement player
PATRIOTSSSSSS
Aiyuk staying on the 9ers would be the most valuable decision he could possibly make.
Jennings did so much better during the superbowl than Aiyuk did... trade him
He’s not going anywhere ! They’ll need him when Debo gets hurt again !
Ummm Adam’s was traded for a 1st and 2nd rounder.
imagine as a player a team holds on to you without you wanting to be their imagine it’s going to reflect in his play and ba is a good blocker you don’t want him going soft lol
Aiyuk is already under contract for a fairly reasonable $14 million for 2024. If he were a free agent (which he isn't) he would be able to get about $24 million a year. So in 2024 he's slated to get about 60 percent of his open-market value, which is pretty damn good. Just play out this season for good money, and by doing so he will set himself up for great money in 2025 and beyond.
They were wrong about the adams trade he went for a 1st and a 2nd
mahomes & aiyuk.
nfl ain't ready
Good news as a rams fan lol
Not if they make him play that 5th year option 🤣
Niners ain’t trading him this year!!!
I doubt they trade him this year but I can see Brandon holding out
26 million in california after taxes ~ 13,000,000
27 million in Florida after taxes ~17,000,000
49ers has the upper hand. Let him sit out. He gets fine. Lose money. Pull a bell. Or he plays and continue to show what he think is his worth. 49ers saying were not interested. But doesn't matter how rich you are. Everything has a value. But the value will have to be a profit
Not a darn thing AB can do about it
I just love watching "The View". oh this is Pat McAfee , nevermind.
If they make him stay, he'll just not perform until they get rid of him. There's a team that will pay him if 49ers will let him go and be where he wants. It seems like he just doesn't want to be there.
Just confirmed Ayuik is gonna have a bad year. Which means Purdy has a bad year. CMC popping off this year without injuries.
Injuries happen all the time
Aiyuk is fantastic at his position. But their offense is not wanting for talent. Aiyuk could sit this season and that offense will perform just as well.
I think he’s either going to sign with 49ers or they’re going to tag him next year and trade him to a team that’s struggling and he’s not going to be able to produce the numbers he has with SF. If I was an owner and seeing how BA is ready and eager to back out of a contract before it’s up, I’d second guess signing him. How would I know that he wouldn’t back out of our contract when things aren’t going right, like he did to the team that’s taken him to multiple Super Bowls. Either way it’s not a good look for him
Trade judon for aiyuk im calling it ! Patriots
He's not gonna play hard for SF then.
Ty gets it
WR is such an exciting position, I’d love to see Aiyuk on my Ravens, it would be almost like the years we had Bolden. But I see the point that no competitive front office can justify sending picks plus having to pay him at the end of the day. It sucks that this only happens to the athletes in their prime, like OBJ had no issue finding a new team 3 times now. That’s only cuz he’s cheaper. The rookies coming out as a competent replacement doesn’t help, it wasn’t always like that.
Not sure if he is really a WR 1…how did he do when Debo was hurt?? I don’t see Niners paying him as a top WR
COME TO THE RAVENS
A non player thinking he can do what? Dude mediocrity
If a player under-performs,does he get paid lesser than the contract he signed. That is why a contract is signed otherwise he should have put a clause.
how is a franchise tag even a thing 😂 it’s the only sport where a franchise tag exist that thing has to go teams shouldn’t be able to hold on to you when you’re contract is over
Weird.
Not a rookie qb. He’s still on his rookie contract get the words right lol
I can't wait to see a team mortgage the house for BA... 1st round picks coming in HOT!!!!!!!!
Ceedee to 49ers😭😭😭
Adams went for a 1st and 2cd
As a chargers fan id like us to gwt him but i am also aware the money aspect probably makes that impossible
Great video! All of this is relevant I think is BA is getting open cause he doesn’t get doubled as the team has so many big time weapons. He isn’t even there #1 threat CMC is, a large part of his efficiency is from that & how well Kyle schemes plays + how accurate his quarterback is! Brock was the most accurate passer & tight window thrower. BA is an elite talent but his production would not be the same on another team. If his production got better on another team that team would suffer from hyper targeting him. Niners are saying hey we want to win championships & BA is saying I don’t care about that I want the money. I think both sides feel put off cause there priorities are not aligned. Niners are being fair. Personally I think BA will extend his career with that balanced system & compete for championships. Which means he will make way more money in the long run. Also no one’s talks about how the niners are one of the largest market teams so he’s gonna make a lot of money off of sponsorships & other side deals. 26-27 million is a lot of money especially if they guarantee a lot of it. There’s a reason he was ranked #10 WR. He’s not better then Devante, Amon, JJ, Chase or hill so why should be make more. I mean the niners drafted him & cultivated him into the stud he is that has to mean something too + trying extend him early. BA is being a Diva right now & he really doesn’t have leverage they can scuttle him for 3 years. If he turns to poison sure they might trade him but it will stain his career & shorten it once the media turns on him & he turns more pumpkin in a lesser offense 🤷🏽♂️
Tee higgins next
