I saw the show live and was highly offended. I checked my fridge and my pantry. I then went to the corner quickie mart. There was no Guinness. How can this be allowed?
Think I’ve had Guinness once in my life not much of a beer/stout guy but this show had be convinced I needed a 6 pack and that I would enjoy it 🤣🤣

I am from Ireland and I love that the Americans came here for the football, you should do that more often, was a cool experience seeing American sports fans come in their thousands to Dublin

Anyone who hated this has never been to a live sporting event or had watched a game with family or friends, it was just a good time
I don’t think many people hated it. But part of Pat’s deal is to look appear like this outsider rebel, so he is going to focus on the less than 1% who were offended. Makes it seem like there is this mob of folks who are out to get him, when that really isn’t the case. But it does stir up his followers, this comment section is full of people sounding off on these fictional haters.

I loved the Dublin College GameDay experience along with you and the Boys with Sheamus! It was awesome! You weren't there to "glorify drinking" you were merely drinking while doing your jobs. It was glorious. Dublin definitely needs to be a staple of a historic city for either College or NFL games in the future. As always, keep hammerin' dahn the good stuff. It sucks hearing complaints from the critics but I think it's safe to say you will always offend someone doing what you do. Just continue to be yourself, kind, and genuine, and the rest is just noise. And for the people you "offended" while in Dublin, they don't understand how rude (and disrespectful to some cultures) it is to decline participation in certain traditions when you are in another country. It looked like a great time, I am glad all of you enjoyed yourselves!

Why wasn't the Texas A&M vs. Notre Dame game in Ireland? No brainer whiff on that one by the schedulers.
Notre Dame were here last year i guess asking them to travel two years running would be a lot. Next year its K State v Iowa State. Would be great to have Pat back again for that one.

Im watching NFL here for the last 25 years.
We have Thursday Night, 3 games Sunday & MNF and the whole Play-Offs.
We also have College Gameday and 3 College games on a Saturday.
Love it all, my favourite sport.

The people who don’t like Pat McAfee tend to be the sweatervest football fans. These guys still love their teams and their sport, but they don’t understand where the ENERGY and VOLUME come from in a stadium. It’s not the box seats, it’s the nosebleeds and the student section, among the fans who love their teams more than anything. Energy doesn’t come from the town cars, it comes from the junkers.

Holy Cross played Fordham in the Gaelic grounds in Limerick in 92. Sat with Fordham's band and tried to count how many people were actually on the team, hadn't a clue what was happening on the pitch. Still don't really know what's going on but it's good craic

Honestly, if all he did was chug pints of Guinness I'd call that tame, if they managed to get through the whole show (or the whole NIGHT) without a shot of Jameson I'd call that an Irish miracle.
