  • The highlight of this vlog is about "the Large Bronze Figures" on the grounds of Maharmuni Pagoda. Actually these figures were originally from the Angkorwat Temple in Cambodia. After Siam sacked the Cambodian capital, they brought the bronze figures to Thailand from Angkorwat Temple. Then, these figures were forcely brought to Hanthawaddy, Myanmar from Thailand by the King Bayinnaung Kyawhtin Nawrahta in 1563 (In the vlog I was wrong with 1590). The Thai King Byanarit attacked Taungoo, Myanmar in 1599 after the downfall and destruction of Hanthawaddy in 1598. At that time, the Rakhine King Min Razagyi fought from Taungoo side. At the result, the Thai King was defeated. So, after the war, the Taungoo King presented the Rakhine King with various treasures including the Large Bronze Figures. In 1784 during the reign of King Bodawpaya, the King invaded Arakan (Rakhine) and the Crown Prince brought the bronze figures to Amarapura in 1785. And placed these figures on the grounds of Maharmuni Pagoda.
And we also visited to China Town Street Food Market nearby my hotel. We tried various kind of street food such as boiled pork skewers, tofu noodle, dry beef meat ball noodle, fried dumplings, crispy fried tofu and pork skin crackers. In the evening we went back to my home town, Yangon.
    With Much Love,
