    mandalay was the first city i visited in myanmar back in 2019. in all of my travels around the world this place probably was one of my absolute favourites. lots of wonderful memories. i still think about mandalay and myanmar and i am sure one day it will turn back into the tranquil and happy place from my memories. peace and love from germany.

    there is also a song the people of Myanmar sang together back in 2021 maybe until now.
    It‘s a burmese version from the Song Dust in the Wind from Kansas.
    I always get goose bumps when i remember back to the beginning of the war and all the victims and when i hear the song and all the burmese people with candles standing on their balconies

    1:35 this happens in every country. Even here in the EU the government will force you to fight if there's a war. That's the law in almost any country.

    • @blamethevar
      @blamethevar 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      NOT true! In Myanmar the army can literally just take kids and force them to fight in the army. That doesn't happen in the EU. No European country is going to patrol at night and kidnap kids to take them to the army.

      @@Chai_Travel I honestly highly doubt so, even if the Junta falls, it will be a never ending war between minorities, only Ang San Suu Kyi managed to unite the country. As my daughter is obviously half burmese, I really hope it will change! I want her to be able to see her country thrives, such beautiful people, such a beautiful country!
      We are all safe in Singapore, but I am scared for my Burmese family (my wife's family). My daughter will ALWAYS be safe considering she also has French nationality.

    Due to money inflation and exchange rate, now the basic salary equivalent 70$ per month. Before, basic salary Equivalent minimum 100-120$ . Now local kyats value are getting lower and lower.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Stop panning your camera so quickly. I want so much to see Myanmar without a dizziness attack. Yes, yes please show us the places and the people. We know how you look like already, you don’t have to be in the video much. Your narrating is perfect. Thanks so much for braving the country at war with itself and allow us a glimpse of the country we miss so much. 🍁🙏

    poor got poorer with inflation. now poorest household can only afford rice soaked in rain water which is used to feed pigs or chicken but hey, it's what it is. life goes on .

      @@Chai_Travel well it's happening for real in my country bro. rain water soaked rice bags which shop used to sell to animal farmers at cheap price. now poorest households rely on those rain water soaked rice for a meal. inflation hitting real hard right now. i am also from myanmar in case u wonder how i know too much. i live near by river and most lowest income family live near by river too by setting up tents. so i heard a lot from them.
