Good thing! I still dont know if it better than the good old vdb technique.
I also dont think it is necesarily faster.
I would say they are very similar BUT the great advantage this brings is with point clouds and no previous mesh. For example a scan. That is AMAZING because it generates the normals for you for the shape apparently. Or if you want to mix other point cloud searches.
The point cloud reduce is amazing. I didnt even know this nodes existed so thanks for sharing with us.
Ill do some tests on my own.
    Thanks!

It is marginally faster in this example if you look at the profiler. It's probably faster in other situations. I like the results it gives compared to vbd

@@InsideTheMindSpace The results in topology, for sure, is way better. No doubts about that.

@@pizola3285 I dont have access to 20 at work yet, but I wonder if this also reduces memory footprint vs straight vdbs.

That’s excellent, it’s similar to fuse and polyreduce, it’s a very useful tool. To give you a comment, several times in different works it’s necessary to reduce points. Thank you very much!

Genius trick - I waste a lot of time remeshing using VDB from polygon and back.
