Sorry, this is 2 years old…but I just saw this. You will laugh… I’m watching this on the bus. When you said, “who loves broadcasters?” And you raised your hand. So did I. On the bus. Haha.

Just bought a Journeyman one. Honestly the greatest guitar I’ve ever played, and I’ve played far too many. It almost makes me sad for other guitars. What a phenomenal instrument.

The one I tried did not have the correct oversized neck pocket but that CS one does look correct.

Do the relics sound better than the NOS? I loved the way that sounded unplugged! Are they ALL like that? I need to know this! Thanks.

Do the Broadcasters have a pine body like the original? I would think the custom shop model would be, since it's the closest in originality than the every day production model.

As far as I know, it was the Esquire that had a pine body.

Some of the Esquires had pine I think. But the broadcaster definitely did. It was the first model built in '48

esquire was first no? Then broadcaster. And the earliest Esquire were all pine body. Broadcasters had ash bodies.

    Can you play it????

  • @larryalexander900

Really? Compound radius was a thing back then? It's not just an excuse to make reissue guitars more playable just like they did with the American Original series... even though the American Originals are nothing like the original Teles! This is a trend that has to stop. Either make them like the exact original guitars or don't.
