Addition to the fleet!
The clutch won't work with the rubber line, it will stretch more than the volume of fluid being pumped.
@@fixinoldjunk286 yea I was thinking that but it’s a pretty tough rubber line compared to the other ones we saw, I think most of our prob is air in the system or bad slave cyl

It is hydro boost brakes with electric assist. Most likely the red knob under the steering wheel is idle cable for PTO.
Thank you for the info I was thinking the same thing but I think the knob is for somthing at the back cause it leads to the rear of the truck and I think it has a electric motor that pulls a cable for the pto
Hey Darrel, really cool this tow truck. i Grew up watching and loving the tow truck shows from US, my favorite one was the south beach tow series. That engine sounds so good you really know your way around engines. Wish you lived closer to me, i don't know much of anything about anything. Hope this video blows up for you like a big balloon :)

No belts on the air compressor, We had an IHC dump truck with air over hydraulic brakes and no air no brakes.
Yea that was the a/c compressor though
red cable end is for pto. its a 12 valve cummins bet it needs a starter probably a flywheel ring gear

I think you got to push the clutch in and pull that red knob which will engage your clutch to your PTO when you let off the clutch

It’s a awesome machine
Use gasoline an a rag over the intake tube instead of starting fluid. Diesels don’t like starting fluid. And the red knob is the pto cable.

Oh I've become familiar with this real quick my workplace has one and it's problem is the clutch gets stuck in reverse if the pto is even a centimeter up. (OH it also is only a 2002 dump truck)

Clutch could be the slave cylinder at the bell housing had one go bad on a truck similar
it was the top one clutch worked once fixed
The red handle is the PTO

probably too late for this one but all cummins motors have a knob on the back of the fuel pump that you screw in to allow fuel to flow with any hydro involved give it a try

Hi got a truck similar to that I'm looking for pintle hitch fifth wheel adapter I'm wondering if that wrecker has one and if so would you be willing to sale ?
I beleive it does have one however now that I got the truck running I don’t think thr seller wants to sell it ☹️

Red button PTO yellow button brakes Release .brakes need 80 to 100 psi to release But must not be a belt on the air compressor or a bad compressor because the time it was running didn't hear air release valve pop off or when press brake pedal didn't hear air. PTO start the truck must be in Neutral brakes on push the Clutch in pull the PTO out put truck in 1st gear and slowly let the clutch out
It has hydro brakes
Probably need a new battery or batteries whichever.
