- Our MK8 Golf R project has been on the back burner a bit lately still awaiting the TCU to be unlocked. But in the meantime, we installed some lowering springs from AST Suspension and got it sitting lower and handling better all while keeping the factory DCC system in working order. As another addition, we ended up putting on a mismatched set of Fifteen52s, Which wheel do you prefer? let us know in the comments!
We hope this serves as a helpful how-to on installing lowering springs to your MK8 R or GTI! Thanks for watching!

Podiums or Chicanes? 🤔🤔🤔
Big ups to the boys at BMP Tuning. The R is killer!
Podiums I think is winning!
@@BMPTuning What's the tally at now?
@@Fifteen52Wheels Podiums def. won lol
Why the AST over the other options, like the APR w/ bumpstops?
Thanks for all of the content!
Wanted to try them out, have their coilovers on our G80 and their springs definitely do NOT disappoint!!
👍👍👍👍
Is there no need to calibrate the sensors after installation?
Always heard using impact tools on DCC struts was a big no no
Why would that matter?
Its a no no on any strut as you can over spin the shaft and damage the seal
你說的沒錯,不過或許他不在意會損壞,他的安裝方式並不標準。
I spy a catch can drain tube (I think). Something new coming soon???

No torque specs for anything ?
What are the wheel and tire specs on the podiums?
19x8.5 et45 with 235/35!
do you have to recalibrate radar or the adaptive lighting or the dcc?
We did not have any issues regarding that.
