    I enjoy your video's and adventures very much sir. I have said that I don't do social media so I can only keep up via a TH-cam. So thanks. Looks like I'll be doing my wife's and my KLR's 600 mile maintenance tomorrow. Have a great day.

    Dale, another great video as always! I was extremely excited when I woke up today and seen your new post. Looking forward to the entire series. So much interstate riding this time, that stinks. Understand you were trying to make time and didn’t have as much time for the secondary roads. I still am yet to feel completely comfortable with riding on the interstate with my KLR. Always feel like traffic is pushing me too much and feel like I’m pushing the motorcycle too hard maintaining 65-70mph constant. Just taking some time to get use to it over a long distance via interstate. Also the right hand tingling from vibration is taking some getting use too. Nothing bad just different. Have a great weekend my friend.

      Yes sir, time wise this trip up was closer to 50-50 old highways and interstate.
      I agree, interstate is not my priority, it is just part of the deal sometimes on a short long milage trip,. I also like you, feel the same way, i need my bike to last the rest of my life and I dont want to wear it out running her that fast, she will do it, she and I just dont like it. hahaha. Thanks again for all your kind support and I hope you and your family have a blessed week my friend. It is always a pleasure to see your comments. Sorry for the delay, i just got back from another trip, videos will start posting after this Michigan trip. Again, thank you and have a blessed week.

    Here's where I'd like to see some stealth camping: In the woods beside a Walmart or other plaza, a highway rest area, or in a wide wooded devide between a highway. I'll be looking for your camp fire.

    Yes on stealth camping so enjoyable to get out in Gods creation. As far as the bra would be a nice addition would consider if you could get that in black, as in carbon fiber if I was younger May be. Also if you have plans for purchasing an
    XR 650 L and if they could handle the weight you would have on your KLR?
    God Bless you and yours.

      Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment, and know it is truly appreciated. As far as the 650, i believe you could easily take it to a spring guy and have them make you a set for your front and rear with the load out you plan to carry. I did the same thing with my DRZ, if you go back and look as some of my old moto camping trips with that bike, it has as much junk on it stacked behind me like a back rest. My suspension guy was Mikes Suspension out of Mustang Oklahoma, he did the spring on the DRZ as well as my AT. Thanks again for the question and I so agree, getting out and enjoying nature is my main draw to the dual sport and adventure bikes, go see Gods Country. Thanks again and I hope you have a blessed week.

    What are you doing for chain maintenance with all those miles?

    • @Heartlanddualsport
      @Heartlanddualsport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Excellent question. I live it when I ride through rain or water on these long trips.
      I will give you a tip through since you asked. It’s just as good to take a tooth brush (or chain brush) (tooth brush just easier to carry) clean the chain with WD40. Get the grim and junk off it. Our chains are technically sealed and the chain lube may not actually be doing anything to Help a sealed chain if that makes sense. I hope this helps answer that question. I will do a video for this as well so thank you for the suggestion. Thanks again and have a blessed week my friend.
      Dale.

      @@Heartlanddualsport Yeah, I've got a new chain/sprocket x-ring set to install...and it's good to hear that WD40 won't wash out the lube under the rings.

    • @Heartlanddualsport
      @Heartlanddualsport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yomommaahotoo264 anytime my friend. I will never pretend to be a professional mechanic, but the guy I trust who is, only uses WD40 and never uses chain lubes or waxes, he basically said, it will collect dirt etc and make it all wear out faster. I can see his point and to be honest, this is all part of a personal test, from the factory chain and the new one, I am not using anything but WD because I believe what he is saying, but want to see it personally and see what kind of difference it makes. Thanks again and know, yes, I will be doing a video on it when I wear this next set out. :)
      Thanks again and have a blessed week.

      @@Heartlanddualsport Good info. Just installed a new Primary Drive x-ring chain and sprocket set on my 2009 o-ring with 16K last night, and already notice lots less friction. No reason this set up can't make another 16K when cleaned correctly.
