The two things that I found interesting was, are those fake exhaust tips on the caddy and the lincoln has 400 HP, but the caddy has 400 on the rear hatch (boot)
Cadillac switched to this dumb badging strategy where they list the torque of their engines in Newton meters. It leads to the consumer mistaking that number for being an engine output rating . But it works in their favor for underpowered engines like the 3.6 into the Xt7
THE FOOT ACTIVATED POWER TAILGATE WORKS GREAT ON BOTH VEHICLES AND CONSISTENTLY, IF YOU USE IT CORRECTLY. ITS A SIMPLE KICKING MOTION UNDER THE BUMPER. THAT’S IT!!!! WHEN WAS IT EVER A SWEEPING MOTION WITH YOUR FOOT? 🙄
In a multi-tasking world, using “this” and “that” is very annoying since I either had to glance over to see which one you pointed to or double-tap to 10 seconds before to catch all of your “this”s and “that”s .... otherwise I enjoyed your review . Thank you.
Regardless of what they say on paper, in the real world (at least where I live), the Lincoln will cost you about $10,000 (or $200/month to lease) more than the Cadillac.
I cant stand the Aviator, love the looks of it but hate the drive, to much like an explorer which shouldn't surprise me as they are both built on the same platform.
I do not feel the Cadillac XT6‘a purpose is to be a direct competitor to the Lincoln Aviator. It’s purpose was to replace the Cadillac SRX, and provide a third row option in addition to the two-row XT5 and compete with Lexus RX-L. There’s a reason the Cadillac XT6, Lexus RX, and Infiniti QX60 do not approach Aviator prices in top trims...they compete in different markets and appeal to a completely different customer. The Cadillac XT6 is substantially less expensive than the Lincoln Aviator fully equipped. If your priorities include upwards of 300+ horsepower, RWD biased platform, luxuries like air suspension, etc. you can get into a fully loaded 2021 GMC Yukon Denali with a true air suspension that you can actually manually control yourself, naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 power producing 400+ horsepower, a true RWD BOF platform, and get hell of a lot more vehicle, space, comfortability, reliability and practicality for the same money of a much smaller, less capable Lincoln Aviator Black Label. When considering the price and features it’s a no brainer. People who are buying the QX60, XT6, XC90, RX-L, MDX, etc. do not share the same list of priorities therefore it separates these two vehicles in their own respective markets with different target buyers.
mybro727 The xt6 does compete with the aviator. Stop trying to convince yourself that it doesn’t. The Lexus RX, qx60, and the mdx are substantially less expensive than the xt6. The xt6 is a competitor to the xc90, q7, aviator, the three row version of the gle and the new genesis gv80.
JTL2017 You sound dumb as hell. How about you STOP replying to my comments if you don’t have anything of substance to say and if you can’t comprehend English text. When did I ever say the XT6 was cheaper than the RX-L, MDX, or QX60? I very clearly stated and made my point which is the Cadillac XT6 was not developed to be a *direct competitor* to the Lincoln Aviator. It’s main purpose is to be a SRX replacement. Several reviewers and journalists have stated this same thing. Not sure why we would all need to “convince ourselves” of something that 1. doesn’t make a difference to our finances 2. is factual and very obvious. Clearly it’s _you_ that’s trying to convince yourself of something here.
Who is really gunna compare a midsized Aviator to a FULL SIZE BOF SUV like the YuKon Denali/xl? The aviator competes against the Q7 XC90, and X7 on the lower range. The XT6 competes with those vehicles. it's a similar size shape and weight BUT the product itself Is noncompetetive. The Xt6 is a half baked product. Caddy clearly rushed as lackluster product t ok market to satisfy dealers request of a 3row crossover to fill the space under the Escalade. The Escalade (excited to see next gen unveil) is the real deal but the Xt6 is not. Not ONE automotive publisher has even come close to saying that the XT6 is a better product than the Aviator. And the XT6 purpose is to fill the void between 2 row xt5 and the FULL SIZE 3 ROW BOF Escalade/esv. You talk about the lexus RX and QX60, when tho vehicles dont compete with the Xt6 or Aviator; they are in XT5 (renamed SRX) and Lincoln Nautalus (renamed mkx) size class (2 row midsize). Dont know where you're getting this "srx replacement" from, you've clearly made that up in you caddy tainted head.
dnice pimpin How is the XT6 none-competitive? Another brainless commentator who cannot read and comprehend English. Please understand just because you do not like something doesn’t make it “none-competitive”. 😂 Smh. None of you guys are making any sense here. You say it’s wrong to compare the RWD Aviator to the GMC Yukon (despite the fact a loaded Black Label Aviator is in Yukon pricing territory) solely because it’s a full size BOF SUV?? Lol...but then somehow it makes sense to say the Lincoln Aviator competes head on with a different *FULL SIZE LUXURY GERMAN SUV* which is the BMW X7 which competes directly with the Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Lexus LX, Infiniti QX80, etc.? Lol. Please understand that doesn’t make ANY SENSE *at all.* Your logic is clearly flawed and you’re critically contradicting yourself. What a joke. P.S. Which offering is a “better product” is a matter of opinion and preference. I never said any reviewer stated either was better than the other. You sound like another Lincoln fan that’s butt-hurt over my original post. Believe me if Cadillac built a RWD Aviator direct competitor it will effortlessly blow the Lincoln out of the water the same way the Cadillac CT6 blows the FWD Lincoln Continental out of the water.
I appreciate your doing this video. But if I may offer a few unsolicited tips from a 30 year professional broadcaster: 1. You can say the same thing with fewer words. It is possible, just requires effort. 2. Spend more time looking into the camera (the LENS, not the screen .. you're not talking to yourself in a mirror ... lots of TH-camrs make that mistake all the time!) Stop looking at what you're describing. It'll REALLY help you connect with the audience more. 3. You seem to be uncomfortable with gaps between your sentences, causing you to run sentences together, and making it harder to edit. 4. Video is very long. If it's gonna be 30 plus minutes, it must be VERY entertaining. If not, cut it down to 10 minutes. You can actually chose the most interesting things to talk about and don't have to present EVERYTHING. People can read about stuff like cup holders, etc. Video quality is great, sound is AWESOME, you're very knowledgeable. Once you find a way to deliver in an entertaining way, you'll see your subscribers and views go way up. I hope to see great things from you in the future! You have major potential....
The Aviator takes this comparison. The interior of the XT6 is behind the Aviator, as well as other Cadillacs, and has much less power than the Lincoln.
The XT6 is really out of its league here being a fwd bias based architecture and not producing nearly the power or comfort as the Lincoln and similar rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLE models. The XT6 should have been based off the CT6 platform rather then the cheaper GMC smaller Acadia version. GM really missed a great package especially if equipped with a V8 option like the CT6 has. Ford has definitely been throwing more money into their vehicles then GM. Apparently GM would rather spend that money on advertising and executive bonuses. The Lincoln looks more like itself then a Ford and the Cadillac unfortunately looks like a GM product and not a luxury variant.
The XT6 is an embarrassment for Cadillac compared to the rwd bias Lincoln Aviator. Cadillac should have used the rwd platform of the CT6. This Caddy is just a rebadged Acadia and not even the better sized Enclave/Traverse platforms. GM always seems to be the worst when it comes to nickle and diming and the Caddy is no exception. The Lincoln has great features but lacks the true quality befitting the high price tag. It's sad that a $30k Toyota Camry is far more reliable then a $80k luxury vehicle regardless of American or European manufacturers. But hey if obtuse minded individuals who are obviously smoking the fumes of these overly priced and mostly unreliable manufacturers marketing departments hype. Unfortunately planned obsolescence is how these vehicles are made. Hopefully people have better luck then the many who haven't ✌🏽🇺🇲
I have looked over the feature set on the XT6 and I think if you are planning to spend between US $50k to $60-65k, the XT6 is the best way to go, but if you are going spend $70k or more you go with the Aviator unless you re just hooked on the XT6 design. Though I do wish that they would put a transverse version of the 3.0T from the CT5 in the XT6. The most common complaint I have heard about the XT6 is twofold, both have to do with the 3.6L V-6: 1. The 3.6L is too ubiquitous at GM and a Cadillac should have something far more exclusive. Right now the 3.0T is too exclusive as you can only get it on the CT5. 2. The 3.6L just doesn’t have enough low end torque, and is merely adequate for the task at hand. Again, the 3.0T solves the issue. I know the XT6 is based on a transverse layout, and torque steer would be an issue. But they solved the issue with a great AWD system on the now deceased XTS V-Sport. Cadillac has some of the greatest engineers in the world, they can make it work. They also need a better infotainment screen. I read somewhere that Cadillac will be refreshing all of its vehicles except the Escalade for the 2023 model year. Here’s hoping the Lyriq interior design language and trim makes it inside the rest of Cadillac’s line-up. Now reimagine the XT6 with 3.0T for motivation and the Lyriq interior design! Well, I can dream.
This video is terrible! You say “This one” and “That one” and we, the viewer do not always know what one you are talking about. There are times when you’re talking about one vehicle and showing the other. I found it confusing and frustrating to watch. I was also not sure if, when you said a feature was not offered, if it was not offered or simply not in the vehicle you were reviewing. It was all very confusing.
GM cars just look cheap even a Caddi. When the valet brings the Lincoln its impressive. When the valet brings up the Caddi it looks like the last girl in the bar.
Please learn how to use the features, (a simple, straight-in, mild kick of the leg is all that's needed to get the power hatch to open) etc. before you review it, and put front seats in proper position to allow second seats to fully fold flat so actual amount of room available is shown - could have been good, but ultimately sloppy, lazy reviewing
True that, most of the video is inside the caddy, even when he talks about the aviator it shows the caddy. Didnt get much of the aviator which i was looking forward to. I think its the camera man’s fault.

Marlon Elmore Freedom Is Ours not division ok what are you smoking....the new Escalade looks amazing
@@Idk-gy5gs it looks good but not really alluring now the interior is beautiful
Aviator engine is identical to the one in the ST it looks like?
Yes
The two things that I found interesting was, are those fake exhaust tips on the caddy and
the lincoln has 400 HP, but the caddy has 400 on the rear hatch (boot)
Cadillac switched to this dumb badging strategy where they list the torque of their engines in Newton meters. It leads to the consumer mistaking that number for being an engine output rating .
But it works in their favor for underpowered engines like the 3.6 into the Xt7
@@pimpindnice910 Thanks for that info.
Thank you.
A better comparison would have been the Explorer Platinum vs the XT6
No try Traverse High Country vs Explorer Platinum.
Regardless of what they say on paper, in the real world (at least where I live), the Lincoln will cost you about $10,000 (or $200/month to lease) more than the Cadillac.
It's worth it. Xt6 looks silly
I bought a 2022 XT6.
AVIATOR THE BESTT DIFINIT
I cant stand the Aviator, love the looks of it but hate the drive, to much like an explorer which shouldn't surprise me as they are both built on the same platform.
Enclave all the way
I do not feel the Cadillac XT6‘a purpose is to be a direct competitor to the Lincoln Aviator.
Couldn't agree more.
mybro727 The xt6 does compete with the aviator.
But if I may offer a few unsolicited tips from a 30 year professional broadcaster:
Thank you. I took the time and read your entire comment. Your feedback means a lot to me.
Canadian people want too no,,winter driving conditions snow tires or studed snow, tires 😂
XT6 Baby...
The Aviator makes the XT6 look cheap but the new Genesis GV80 makes the Aviator look cheap
Lincoln aviator better
The Aviator will constantly be needing service for all of its recalls. I would seriously avoid it.
Aviator
Aviator is far nicer
Hate the mandatory panorama roof.
The most common complaint I have heard about the XT6 is twofold, both have to do with the 3.6L V-6:
Aviators: glitzy but unreliable
XT6: not glitzy but doesn't get recalls every month
Cadillac isn't much reliable either. Its 2020 not 1972
The aviator looks ugly inside and out. No offense to anyone who likes it..
Video is 30 minutes long and we never once got a whole side view of the XT6. Just bits and pieces. What a waste.
Not apples to apples. Aviator is a bigger suv.
What actually are you talking about?
Justin Spiguzza They’re in the same size segment.
They are almost exactly the same size.
Lincoln looks like a police cruiser.
Xt6 is smaller IRL
Lincoln is better.
Pepsi Vs. Coca-Cola
Something's off with this guy?
He looks like a serial killer...
Funny but true 🤣
Agreed. I find his videos painful to watch.
No, you're wrong..
You’ve gotten a few things wrong, please be sure to provide real facts instead of throwing a number out there! The grand touring does not make 460 hp.
You are right it makes 494
ПУТИН ПРЕЗИДЕНТ МИРА !!!

Lincoln = UGLY
Cadillac= Good looking.

Stopped at seven minutes. Horrible review and hard to watch.
True that, most of the video is inside the caddy, even when he talks about the aviator it shows the caddy. Didnt get much of the aviator which i was looking forward to. I think its the camera man’s fault.
