Today I just had my road code test in AA, and I got 34/35 questions correct. There was this question which I think doesn't make any sense "when you have a restricted license can you carry your spouse", I pressed no but the answer was yes, and I thought I was correct when I pressed no so I don't get how I got that one wrong
Yeah bc on your restricted you can carry your spouse and kids
@@angel.gerrard Oh maybe back when I did it, I didn't know what a restricted license is so I got it wrong
What I find interesting about the NZTA and Rode code is they really shy away from the hard stuff that you face in real life driving particularly around the city. They've got the basics covered but some roads are a tad complicated than that.
Good way to learn, its clear and understand it very help full.
Nicely explained and was easy to follow thanks!
This was really helpful thank you :D I find I can learn through a video format at a much faster rate than through books so it was really good :D
same here
Looks like this video has updated with those new driving rules such as Top of the T. Good to see.
1:05 If the motorcyclist is a lane splitter and has some balls, nobody has to give way.
The Blue car has to give way to the motor cycle
In the latest road code 2018 they are now saying that theres no such thing as " right of way " which I find very strange and confusing....ofcourse theres a right of way in driving .
Thank you very much
Is this still valid in 2021
It's still valid in 2022
Remember left and right turning traffic can turn at the same time if both keep to the lane closest to them. Double lanes are used to free up traffic and stop congestion yet most still wait when turning left from a free turn. Why ?
Thxs for the clip.
Thank you very much for an explanation with the question, really helpfull rather than doing it along.
Is this still valid for 2020 lol
Yes - the rules haven't changed
Is this still up to date in 2020?
Yes - there's nothing that's changed
@@drivingtestsnz thanks this vid helped me alot

Wow, those trucks are really close the kerb, it's a wonder they will get around it without running over anyone or taking out a pole. lol
Hi is this up to date for 2024? Thanks ☀️
Hi, yes, there have been no changes to the Road Code that affect this video
@@DarrenCottingham thank you 🤩
Are the questions here (on the website) identical to the real learner test questions?
Yes, same questions, but answers are worded slightly differently
Driving Tests Thanks, I'll be sure to use the website when studying.

After watching this video on intersections I could get the answers right so well explained
hai i am from india , driving with my indian licence , This video was very help full..
+sajith I think it's NZ road code or are they similar?
+Summer Nanai All my indian friends said that there are literally no road codes in India.
It's a all go, just don't crash system
+chrischoy9 Yes you're right, but surprisingly accidents are less than what you'd expect when you'd see drivers of vehicles going like ants here and there. The driving test is very lenient too, 99 percent applicants pass and there are hardly 2-3 rules like "you must overtake only from the right" When I came to NZ on a visit I was amazed as to how systematically vehicles drives. Plus the best part I liked was how courteous and patient almost all drivers were. I wish India follows NZ's driving habits and rules!

Ranjeev Joseph NZ driving habits have actually gone down the piss. Comparing it from 2002 to 2016 for example, what you're considering 'courteous and patient' actually considered extremely poor in 2002 standards.
