I already am, today is the first full I get to to play with them, I’m very pleased, if they do more 4 axles in either Chessie, B&O, or C&O blue like these, I will be getting them. Thanks for watching!
Scale Trains run great right out of the box and you don't really need to speed match them. Cool deal Kyle enjoy your new locomotives. You should be able to adjust the momentum/delay.
Not the two scaletrains, but I want to learn how to speed match these two with my three Genesis models that are equipped with Soundtraxx. The scaletrains models run perfectly fine together.
They look and sound awesome, Kyle! Scaletrains locomotives have alot of cool features on them. Also, Function 8 is actually "mute" when the locomotive is running, along with being prime mover startup and shutdown when not in motion. Probably my favorite feature is Function 9, which is drive hold. This feature allows you to rev the prime mover sounds up and down independent of the train speed, its pretty cool!
Thanks bud and thanks for the info. Really glad that I got these as my first rivet counter from scaletrains, if, and only if they make more 4 axle units in either Chessie, B&O and C&O blue like these or WM units, I’ll definitely grab another unit from them whenever I can. That F9 feature is really a cool one, wish Soundtraxx would offer it. I was really excited to see both the ground lights and the marker lights, really cool features. Thanks for watching!
@kylestevens6925 actually, the Soundtraxx Tsunami2 kinda sort of does have that feature, only they call it "digital dynamic exhaust" in which the decoder can "sense" the load behind the locomotive and notch up the prime mover sounds automatically. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to fully access that feature, that's more of Jason@Train Freak's expertise. He can tell you how to get it to work. I like ESU's version because you can set the train to a certain speed and then activate F9 and control the prime mover rpms independently.
@kylestevens6925 I did forget to mention Scaletrains did announce a GP40 recently. While Chessie System, C & O and B & O aren't part of the this initial first release, they're sure to be added in the near future.
Very cool locos Kyle - gorgeous & they sound great. Congrats, I know you're going to enjoy them.
