The problems I see in this video: 1) you are not supposed to top off all the way. As per manual - Fill to 1/4” below the fill hole on side of piston (big flathead plug/screw) while bleeding with valve open (counterclockwise). You don’t ever have to remove the other screw for bleeding. 2) you don’t need to remove the big screws on the yolk. Just the rod that prevents it from tipping forward. Turn the handle until it allows you to tip the handle all the way forward and you can get the pistons out. I had a stuck piston all I had to do was wipe down the piston and relubricate w hydraulic oil and I also wiped down the inside with Qtips.
Nice demonstration and quick question! My daytona dual pistons one of the larger piston is leaky with oil do you think its the O ring i just need to replace? Cos this is brand new daytona super duty jack i bought few days ago and it weighs over 100lbs i dont wanna return it . What do u think ?
@C Munsta : I think it could be it just needs a oil change to start off, we have a video on that How to Repair A Broken Floor Jack That Won't Lift- (4 steps) th-cam.com/video/3BiMnkyA1bQ/w-d-xo.html If you know you lifted something too heavy, take a look to see if it has been damaged in any way. It could also be the bolt is just loose as well, you can check the O rings to see if it is split, also.
If my jack doesn't lock when I twist to the right could I still do this? I think my problem is whatever isn't allowing it to lock when I twist it to lock it
I appreciate the video!!!! You saved my jack

So one is 9.8 mm I need to replace the o rings on the left piston ,would you happen to know the size I need please ? Thanks 🙏
@@redbeacon4871 it would depend on your jack, that is the size you have ?
@ the 3 ton Pittsburg aluminum jack
Do you know the seal dimensions?
I have not checked.I can look into that..

Are the pistons holes supposed to have oil In them, one of them is filled
WHAT IF THAT ROD THAT GO IN THE CYLINER /HANDEL IS MISSING
As man I wish u zoomed up close, and didn’t fast forward through the important part of u disassembling the piston.
@Selwyn Abraham : Thanks for those points !
Yep
All he did was pry them out with the back of a hammer
Not sure why you would speed up the video during that part of the repair.
Did your came with a pad for the lifting point?
Hey Estevan Gascon - Yes , you can order replacement ones as well
Cool shit
Those are O rings not gaskets , washers or anything else
"All the way to the right" is closed, not open.
Those are not "washers", they're o-rings or gaskets.. and you open the jack to the "left" (counter clockwise) , not to the "right"
I can't believe you wasted your time commenting. I bet you are voting for kamila Harris
First off they aren’t washer, second your using the wrong terms for the rest of the parts,
This is not step by step
5:45 Freeze frame.. The one on the left on mine is bent over. Not sure how. But I can just replace it aye.. Sweet!
Where did you find the part? I can only find piston kits that cost as much as I paid for the jack a few years ago
@@AdamScoots247 Na I've got two jacks.. Red & Blue Pittsburg. they look like the same size,, I thought I'd try..
