FYI. Im renting now here. 18th floor water view for 9000 a month for 6 months. My comment is just for informational purposes. There's a road at the rear of the building that leads to Jomtien beach road which is handy. And yes, its true. It's not far from central Pattaya.

The English lesson was hilarious. The guide was a good sport, and accepted your teaching. I'm glad you clarified he did not say 5 thousand Baht, which is what I heard. I wonder how much Thais feel they lose face, if their English is corrected.

One of my favorite condos in pattaya/jomtien....absolutely stunning. The draw back of course is the location....as you said, not for the party people and you kind of need your own transportation but there's always grab.

@@everythingPattaya in my fantasies I'd have myself a nice little 2br condo with a nice view without any need to be 'amidst the action of Pattaya. Each day would be a relaxed exploration, some local sketching, and perhaps going in a couple of times a week (or once) to some of the beer bars for 'color' and a bit of camaraderie with other expats? And probably once or twice a week seeking some 'company' with an affable young lady at the GC facilities. Then a cab home to sleep alone, satisfied and content. I could probably enjoy that for a month--maybe two, but then I'd want to pick up and go to Chiang Mai...Phuket...Hua Hin...or other places. Perhaps I'd arrange a 'friendly companion' as a guide as well...but oh! Sorry--I'm awake now...ha ha

I prefer the older condos, there are some right on the beach in Jomtien, don’t need to use the aircon because of sea breeze and much larger floor space as well as a big balcony’s. Yes not so modern but it’s all personal choice! That was so funny pronouncing twelve, lots of words the Thais/Chinese just cannot say right, but it’s always fun!

That’s where I just stayed, just stunning! It’s important to point out that condominium stays such as Airbnb are illegal in Thailand unless the duration is at least one month.
If it is a condotel then it is not.
That's exactly the reason why I prefer to stay in a condo and not a condotel.....

Nice viewing Daz of The Riviera. I always stay in Jomtien but like to stay on the Bahtbus run. Maybe with the introduction of the Bolt taxis I may look at this. Be there in March...

On "twelve" catch by you. I thought he said "5,000" which would be $150.00 US per month, which made no sense. You caught it right away. As to Jerry, I highly respect and admire ANYONE capable of speaking more than one language. Jerry probably speaks several.

As you said, it worth for a "normal" people...couple or single that dont like much night life, and for short time vacations. The condo itself no worth much, so small, maybe the common areas with chandeliers and sofas could make you feel a bit less claustrofobic. Thanks for get us inside another condo building.

I've always wanted to visit. I even paid for a holiday over there a few years ago but my back was playing up and I couldn't risk the long flight on a plane to get there for just two short weeks. I could easily have spent 10 of the 14 days recovering from the flight in the hotel. With prices that cheap I could stay for a couple of months or more.
I'm the same worry every time aisle seat lots of tablets. The taxi was the worst part I get SUV taxis now. Walk past 1st class just wish.

Not to Hip on this location. Loved everything about the property except the rooms. Now North Pointe looked really good. Would be nice if Jerry could work a deal for there.

The Riviera is not a hotel, so for short term stays, try Airbnb, some owners are hosts
small cats are allowed, so no tigers ,lions etc. I think most people will understand that when booking at Riviera.

Daz, any idea how much 1 month rentals are going for in the Riviera these days? I'm coming in for 4 weeks mid-April to May and would love to stay there.
Riviera Jomtein is a very nice condominium complex. We stayed a month, November 2021 on the 19th floor, seaview, for 10,000 per month. Impressed with the sitting areas throughout the complex. Security staff is also great. Front and easy back entrance from Beach Road Soi 13 makes coming and going very easy. I'm the lazy sort, so for me a car or a motorbike is a must for convenience.
Yes. Amazing. Can't fault the condo or the rooms or the price and the discount is excellent. Daz, is the discount specifically on this condo or would it apply to others? Interested to hear you think test and go may be back. I would be interested to hear anything you know as I am keen to come, but not so keen on either quarantine or coming via Phuket sandbox. I asked a question about the bed being 5 feet.Mainly because the bed I have in Mexico is a lot smaller in length than my queen bed in Canada.....and a lot firmer as well.
I’m not a party animal and would like to stay someplace nice and quiet with an ocean view , for a month. Probably next year. The Rivera looks perfect. I’ve never been to Thailand. Who could I use as a POC to point me in the right direction

Daz, just a tip, can share with Jerry. It's not uncommon to hear a problem with combined consonants (Digraphs) in Asia. Instead of trying to say "Twelve" in one syllable, try saying it with two syllables = T - welve (Tee - Welve), with a small pause between "T" and "Welve". It's understandable, even if the "W" is missing = "T - Elve" (Tee -Elve).
Yes, I hear that all the time here, there are many words in English where the Thais split the word into 2

Most condos have a cleaning service, you just pay a lady about 300 baht
