    Oh my that was satisfying! I swear I love this as much as looking at a Hotrod or a guitar or any craftsmanship. The curves of a skateboard are soo sweet. Since we don’t have SK8TV anymore, this was a great refresher.... and what a run at the end there!!🤘🏻🤙🏼👍🏼

    Whoah I see now how certain boards have a tiny bit more or less concave depending on its position in the stack. I thought pros would talk about how they choose their personal decks before, more in the 90's really. I love these kind of videos

    Bro this video is soo siiiik 🙌 best step by step to a real set up. If only you had the press pressure and heat temp for the press and the kind of glue used. calculations for the mold and program used that would make it so much easier but you did great thanks. That guy who skated at the end can shred.

    Dang!!!! You do that to every board individually? I figured there would have been a more of a flow in the production/assembly line like some how it's made shit.

  • @JBM9823
    @JBM9823 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome! But I dont get how pressing all of those veneers all at one is making a consistent deck, wouldnt the top deck be less steep than the top deck?

    • @RaschkaFilms

      There are woodshops pressing them one by one so everyone is exact the same. But yes when they are in molds like this everyone of them is slightly different ;)

    • @psyche234
      @psyche234 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a clear coat on my guitar necks for DIY projects, usually the curing process takes about 24-48 hours. Considering that most guitar necks and skateboards are made from maple, I’d assume it would take around the same time to cure.

  • @linusbao8650

    i dont get how all those veneers don't stick together in one giant board. I mean they glue together a whole bunch of them, not just the layers of one board at a time. Anyone?

    • @anttikomulainen3185
      @anttikomulainen3185 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They layers between the boards are without glue. The ”face veneers” are not going trough that roller gluer but added dry when they do the stack that enters press.
      So ”recipe” is like this when inside the press;
      - Dry top veneer (no glue)
      - Middle veneers (glued both sides)
      - Dry bottom veneer (no glue)
      ...here the next board starts...
      - Dry top veneer (no glue)
      - Middle veneers (glued both sides)
      - Dry bottom veneer (no glue)

      Find a local board company and show them your designs, more than likely they’ll like it and maybe you can make a career out of it.
