Wow! Thank you so much for showing us DIY makers some love. It was great having you guys come by the garage to see our caveman process. My only regret was not introducing myself as "my name is Jonny Manak and I'm a skateboard maker from the San Francisco Bay Area..." Much love from the Manak family!

As a furnitute maker I've been in a bunch of shops...
This isn't a high end shop but it's a smart shop. You can tell that the maker is bright, he gets it, all of his little jigs make so much sense. That isn't stuff you can just buy, it's custom for what he's doing and he's making it work. This is all about the end product.
    I love it.

Jonny is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Awesome dad, his family is rad, and his music is the best and has been featured in all kinds of skate videos and TV shows. If you've been skating for a while you've heard it and probably don't even realize it.
Go Jonny! Shout out to Danger and Zo!

This might be the first video where the title and thumbnail are underwhelming. This was so awesome to see. It’s one thing to see Paul Schmitt do his thing, it’s another when you see a dude doing it at a much more diy level.

I like finding old videos like this. I know I’ve seen this before. But it’s so refreshing seeing love for skateboarding. This guy makes and sells skateboards but has videos showing you how to do it yourself. A true skater wants everyone to skate.
I want to run off to Lowe’s and make my own board now. Well I don’t think they have that exact ply but.
    I want to do this.

The old school brands had sick graphics and almost every model had a different shape. I'm glad some companies brings back different shapes, even though most are standardized. My first board was Santa Cruz Rob Roskopp, then an Alva Craig Johnson and a Powell Peralta Steve Caballero. I never got my hands on a Vision deck, but they had the coolest graphics and shapes. I remember Vision Jinx and Vision Psycho. These Manak decks looks awesome btw!
