Saw my first MTG card in 1998 and that was it, I was sold on the artwork, the flavour text, and the fact you could summon huge monsters to smash your opponents to death.
Im playing mtg since 1994 and this is by far the best story telling of a set I have ever seen. wow
This was my first ever expert expansion (I started with Portal). I have a deep nostalgia for this set and am happy to see you retell this amazing story. Well done.

I was 12 when this came out. One day during the school break I went into a store to buy some Magic cards so I can learn how to play this game. It happened to be Urza Saga... Didn't know about previous editions. It was difficult and took me awhile to understand the game and it's rules, but I never really got into. 14 or 15 years later I found the cards in a box, and all those memories, nostalgia and the amazing art featured on the cards touched my heart. Such an amazing series... 🤗

There's an image of Urza holding a Sword of Feast and Famine!? Where did the swords originate if not Mirrodin (as Mirrodin [and Karn] wasn't recreated yet)?

+Kalman Kovacs This is fanart. As there are only a handful of official images of Urza, I tried to mix it up a bit to keep it more interesting than to show you the same image over and over.
While this set basically broke Magic in terms of flavor Urza will always be my favorite. The art-style is amazing, much more distinctive and unique than the modern style guide cards, and the story was great.

Well maybe not so bad, if somebody takes control of a creature of yours with Act of Treason or Mind Control, you still own it, so you get it back, same with a card like Sleeper Agent

The problem is in its specificity. Like how "Negate" is strictly worse than "Counterspell."
Saga was my favorite set. I bought a ton of boosters back then.

Just bought a few dozen Urza's saga/Legacy/destiny rares. Mostly "reserve list" from Card Kingdom all in NM condition. Cant wait to play with em lol. jk. Maybe every now and then. Doubtful XD.
My collection is mostly 4th edition, Alliances, Urza's and 6th edition. I'm a 29 y/o dude getting back into it after only playing briefly around 2000 when I was too young to appreciate. A reason they say 13+ huh XD. Wish I had my cards from back then. Making up for it now. Urza's is maybe the best set in MTG history. The power and flavor is unmatched by all except Alpha (so ive heard). Hoping to get a complete set of Urza's Reserve list. All 41 cards. I'm like 75% there.
started playing magic during urzas. when the block phased out so did my interest. the new cards were just so boring by comparison.
just getting back into magic now, 16 yrs later. really unfortunate that wizards nuking everything so badly made me lose interest so strongly :/
This was great. Dont think I cared for the forced use of card names in the narrative. Just so forced. *shutter* but a great story
Are you sure you're pronouncing Gaea correctly? I thought it was pronounced similar to 'guy' and not 'gay'.
