    In this video I go over how to change your front 02 sensor and can't believe I had to remove the radiator once again to do it. The 02 sensor is something very common in evos that goes bad. If you guys have any questions please don't hesitate to leave them down below.

    Man this was a nightmare for me my o2 socket stripped the bolt so I had to use a bolt extractor socket and worked like a charm glad it’s over with

      I'm sure I'll have to remove it many more times :((( But let's hope not!

    Leaded race gas or contaminants even anti-seize getting into the sensor itself can prematurely take it out. I have heard you have to go Mitsubishi OEM for O2 sensors for long-term reliability, but glad you got a warranty replacement.
    After watching you pull that radiator so many times I'd have to upgrade to a 1/2 racing radiator and maybe a different design header for added clearance. Good luck but I think you're going to have to pull that radiator one more time when you do the next upgrade lol.

      Hmmm Maybe to much anti-seize could've caused it to go bad.. Who knows.. and I can't go half rad man with a full track day the car will definitely over heat :(

    I feel you. Thought I could install an AC condenser without removing a Megan radiator and end up puncturing a whole. Have a Koyo radiator now but I wonder how much nicer it would be with a half rad setup. Btw love your how clean your Evo is. The choices from engine bay to wheels is well thought out and digging those NTO3S on the side.

      Thanks bro I appreciate that! and I can't go half rad since the car is being built for circuit racing and I loooveee some NT03'ssss

    Great video ! Thanks ! Question , when you remove the battery overnight and when you startup the car , the idling was fluctuating. Is it due to it self learning?

    • @ChrisGoorbarry
      @ChrisGoorbarry  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No prob and I could assume and say yes but tbh my idle and afr has been all over the place It's something I'll probably tackle in a later video.

    Great video . I have the same problem with my evo x . P0134 and my idle is wacky . So I cleared and let it run and it hasn’t come back . But I’m sure tomorrow at a cold start it will come back on for some reason . But I did order a new one since my tune is this Friday . Also quick question . Different topic . I’m having issues with my exhaust tubular manifold backing out . I don’t want to use lock lite . I don’t want to use the split washers . What would you recommend to keep my exhaust manifold nuts in place and stop moving due to vibrations ?

    • @ChrisGoorbarry
      @ChrisGoorbarry  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Michael, that's and odd issue you are having.. are you torquing them down to spec? If not I'm assuming a split washer would help.

      Rough idle and car would stall very difficult to drive and lots of back fire cause fuel was not being burned in 2 cylinders

    • @ChrisGoorbarry
      @ChrisGoorbarry  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gonna see what that was about this week.. It's weird because I'm on speed density so my tune should be running of my AIT sensor but I'll check it over and see.

    From the looks of it the amount of anti-seize you are using is what killed your first O2 sensor. Fellow evo owner
