Awesome Job on the install vid and product design! … Excited on purchasing the kit for my 4Runnner. I do have one question that you don’t cover during the installation; What about “Relays” that typically come with lights, etc ? … Sorry if you already answered.
Hey I have a quick question for you. I have the exact same lights and my passenger side low beams went out. They aren’t burn out because when I turn on my high beams the low beams also come back on. Only having this issue on passenger side and it started 6-8 months after installing the lights. Any ideas?
Beautiful creation guys. One question because I’ve been waiting for Runnin4tacos to release their Auxbeam dash flush Mount panel. You’re system look similar almost identical to the Auxbeam 8 gang system (not sure if it was a rebranding, which it totally fine, your fuse cover is way nicer). Is the controller you have the same size so that it will fit the dash Mount R4T is making. Does your system have the Bluetooth capability as well? Thanks and nice job…..
I just received my kit and plan on installing it this weekend. My question is this: does the on/off button on the switch panel entirely turn off power to the panel and connected accessories or does it only turn off the backlight? I would like one of the switches to control camp lights installed in the roof rack handles. I want to be able to use these with the ignition off. So my plan is to connect to an always-on fuse, at minimum, an ACC fuse, but I want to be sure that I can switch everything off. Thank you!
The On/Off button turns the unit on and off. So if you have for example 4 switches turned on and you hit the main on/off button, all 4 with shut off. Hit the button again and all 4 will turn back on. If you want the unit to always have power then you can hook up the single small red wire to either your battery or a fuse that has constant 12v.
This may be a silly question, but I want to run power to this from my aux battery for the accessories I am going to be using with this plug and play do you think I will be ok doing it that way?
If you want wont the switch panel to work only when the key is on then you want to find a 10amp fuse that only has power when the key is on. Some fuse locations wont allow the fuse tap to work because you will not be able to install the fuse box lid. This is why we ran the wire to the interior fuse box.

I need some help!! I try installing this today after watching many TH-cam videos about the RGB 8 switch panel, man no matter what i did every time I have this connected to my battery my car wont start, if like the battery die or something. I thought I have the wires installed wrong, changed the wires and same problem. I did however got the panel to light up the first try but when I press the starter on my truck it wouldn't start. Anybody have an idea what's going on? also none of this videos tell you that if you install the add a fuse inside the cabin your fuse cover wont fit anymore, even with mini add a fuse wire. Does this have a backlight for the buttons when none of the switches are activated? I just installed mine and love it except for the fact that I can't see it in the dark to know which button to press.
Hey Matt, Unfortunately this unit does not have a backlight when none of the buttons are activated. We are currently working on a completely new version that has new features that we hope to release before then end of the year.
@@yotaxpedition That would be awesome. It seems a bit unintuitive to have a panel used to control lights (I'm assuming this is the most common use case) without a backlight since you typically turn on lights in the dark. Another potentially useful feature would be having the ability to long-press a button and have that turn on/off a group of lights. For instance if I long-press the bottom left button all the buttons could flash, i can press each button I want to assign to that group and they would light up steady. When I'm finished I long-press the bottom left again to set that group. After its set when I long-press that button all of the buttons I assigned to that group would activate. If I continued to press for a few extra seconds it would take me back into group assignment mode for that button. If you do create an updated version do you plan on selling an "upgrade kit" for existing panel owners? The existing mount is awesome and the panel is great as well. Being able to buy and swap just the circuit control box would be outstanding and very consumer friendly. If you were able to incorporate a way to flash new firmware (if you're using a chip in there) to get new features or change the config myself then re-compile and flash again would be the best thing ever.
Hey Matt, the new unit is a completely different layout so both the unit and the bracket will need to be swapped out. I know, a pain. When the new one is released, shoot us an email with your order number for the old unit and we will help you out.
Can I use the ARB CKMA12 air compressor with this?? It says on ARB's website that it has a maximum load of 32A and you guys only have up to 30A fuses on this. Any info is appreciated, thanks!
Yes you can! We've done this already with the single and dual compressor from ARB. On the harness, there is a purple wire. This is the wire to activate the compressor on/off. Run this wire to your switch panel.
You're not powering the compressor from the switch panel. The compressor positive and negative goes to the battery. The wire you run to the switch panel is to turn the compressor on and off.
That’s true but you don’t save much, if anything at all. If the metal mounting bracket alone is around 100 and the kit is around 140-150+ depending on what version you get, you save about 10%.
