Oh boy! So nice to see a meatloaf that is NOT smeared in ketchup! Wassup wid dat? At this moment I am making your version of pork and peas (the meat is in the frig now waiting for the 2 hours. But as soon as I can I am gonna make your meatloaf (not ten pounds though) Only me and my dog for eat. My mom never put ketchup on the meatloaf, but everywhere I go, it stay dripping with the stuff. Mahalo.
WE MADE IT!!! We made 5 pounds of it, and we've got the most tasty meat loaf in Kona. Followed the recipe exactly. Didn't know how we were going to get 2 pounds of panko in it, but it worked. Also, I have never used mayonnaise in a meatloaf -- maybe that's why mine were so bad. There are seven in our ohana. We have a little leftovers, but not much. It flew off da plates, brah! Mahalo plenny
This looks fantastic my question is does it freeze well because I would make this and divide it into loaves for freezer and that way i can have a delicious meal if I'm running late.
Hi C... Demi is a process and if you can find a good demi in your supermarket you can use but the fast run down is... brown your beef and pork bones along with onions, carrots and what ever herbs you may want ie rosemary, thyme etc and get a good char on it then boil everything along with a spoon of tomato paste in water then reduce on med heat till half then strain... thats the jest of it and I am sure you can find good recipes on youtube for demi... once you have your demi (note our demi takes around two days to make)... reduce in hot pan till it turns to syrup then add heavy cream and bring to simmer till thick... hope that helps... stay Blessed... Aloha!
