WAIT-read this…No one‘s picking up on what Shelley Winters is saying. Just as the interview is about to get cut off by Johnny, Shelley is suddenly recalling one of the greatest moments of rock ‘n’ roll on TV. She claims it’s Jack Paar however, what she’s remembering is the Tonight Show when Steve Allen showcased a 21 year-old Jerry Lee, singing the sh!t outta Whole Lotta Shakin Going On, which and triggered a landslide of record sales and pretty much launched the Killer’s career. If you watch the original clip, Shelleys there, with then-husband Tony Franciosa and Jerry dancing as the closing credits roll. A fascinating link from that appearance to this one, over twenty years later.

Isabel Duran I have got .[albeit by post], Elvis's autograph, I have also visited Gracelands, Sun studios, Beale St., the Peabody Hotel where Sam first broadcasted the big bands, [seen the Peabody ducks, got them on video, ] in fact, I have seen and done it all worldwide, born in '42, served as a soldier in Malaya and done all else in between, you ain't ever met anyone like me fuckers. I am a well-travelled, well lived, experienced 73 year old man, I have, as part of my National service in Malaya, witnessed death, killed and been terrified, Would any of you like to reply, I assure you I am quite am quite amenable to receiving any sort of comment, I have seen most of the world and lived life twice over, in my twilight years I relish comment but not scorn.

ISABEL DURAN , THAT IS YOUR OPINION. HOWEVER , ON THE ROCK ' N ' ROLL , RHYTHM & BLUES CIRCUIT'S JERRY LEE LEWIS WAS / IS REGARDED AS THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER OF THEM ALL !! THE SAYING IN THE 1960 'S WAS ROCK ' N ' ROLL'S THE THING & JERRY LEE'S THE KING !! EVEN ELVIS THOUGHT THAT JERRY LEE WAS THE GREATEST ALSO SAM PHILLIPS OF SUN RECORDS STATED THAT JERRY LEE WAS THE MOST TALENTED OF HIS ARTISTS !! YOU MAY WONDER WHY HE SOLD ELVIS TO R.C.A. RECORD COMPANY. ---- AS FOR HIS LOOKS -- I HAVE SPOKEN TO A FEW GIRLS / WOMEN WHO THINK THAT JERRY LEE WAS A VERY HANDSOME & GOOD LOOKING MAN . SO THERE YOU ARE ---- DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS !! YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE !! JOHN IN UK

Jerry looked a little ill-at-ease when he sat down by Johnny. Amazing. Someone with the talent he has wouldn't feel confidence away from his piano. Great come-back to Shelly Winters when she keeps asking "how he composes songs? He says, "God-given talent". I hear that.
