The weeping angel concept in horror games is just so perfect. I like the sound design when they stop, like the sound of a metal slinky hitting the ground
I love their addition of footsteps, most games that include the weeping angel trope don’t have footsteps, but just an audio queue that tells the player when they’re moving, but the footsteps make things so much scarier by adding frenzied footsteps.
@@dongus4701I kinda like the idea of no footsteps. It’s like they don’t walk or anything they just move. Not like they’re sliding or anything, but that they just somehow appear in a new place is a cool idea to me. But don’t get me wrong I think the footsteps are good for the coil-heads
This in particular is a great twist on the Weeping Angel formula. Hearing it move behind you only to look back and see it just stop and only its head bouncing around is absolutely terrifying.
Idk if its intentional or a bug, but I love that it can move if you're looking at it through an object like a shelf. Having a creature with super clear rules break that rule is terrifying. It runs so frantically too, when things like weeping angels and SCP-173 just kind of teleport around

It really conveys how that thing is extremely volatile and inhumanly quick, having to basically nail itself to the floor to stop moving. The sound design in this game is godlike.
@@dnfluffles772 Jerry is much easier, just keep looking around. Turning down hallways without looking the other way is stupid anyways, if you get surprised by him, its a skill issue. Spring Head and Brakens are the worst combo man. One you have to look at for a bit then look away or you'll make it aggressive and the other you have to stare at.
Brackens are a-holes, they basically can do whatever they want. You look at them "I'm gonna kill you." You don't look at them. "I'll stalk you until you back into me."
I was once blocked in apparatus room and the tight corridor near it. What I've noticed is that coilheads and brackens seem to spawn almost in pairs. I've seen so many people get killed by focusing on a coil head too much and then getting jumped by a bracken when they can't look back to scare it
Met this freaky fucker tonight for the first time. My buddy and I were stuck in one of those big rooms that has the ramp for mine carts and were struggling to find the way out after delving too deep. We look behind, deciding to go back the way we came, and there, standing about 20 ft at the edge of the flashlight beam, is this spring-head fucker. We are frozen, it is literally standing where we have to go and we are expecting it to either attack or move on, but it doesn't. I'm keeping an eye on it cause I have the flashlight and my buddy searches to my left. As I sort of turn left to see where he is going, the thing moves and I quickly jerk back, where it of course stops moving immediately. It dawns on me exactly what this thing is and at that moment, a bug gets my friend. My flashlight is dying as I stare at this unmoving thing I can't quite make the details of, alone in the darkness.
