- We have the updated AT3 tyre from Toyo in the studio. With an all new compound and tread pattern, we really cant wait to get this one out there on the tracks!
We actually got a glimpse of the AT3 back in 2019 at the SEMA show in the U.S. With over 13 sizes for the Australian market, there will be a size for most of your on/off road needs. It really is a great upgrade from the AT2.
Check out our AT2 long term review here:

Got a set of the Toyo OC AT3 on my Ranger WildtrakX. They are a true All terrain tyre and i have flogged them from our mine site in Western Australia to the snow in Victoria. Great in wet, mud and snow. Not noisy on highways. My last lot of boots was Falken Wildpeak AT3 and these tyres are better than them.
I am transitioning from Falkens to Toyos .I just had new Falkens fitted (4th set) but they can not get they balance right and have had problems with "out of round" tyres. Not sure what that is about but they are all being replaced by Toyos in 2 days . I am hoping they are good .
@@ProudAussie23hi mate how did you go with the toyos? Im dealing with the same shit with my falkens. Brand new and cant seem to balance them. Shimmy at freeway speeds
@@Scomo111 the Toyo's are great. The Falkens were out of round (and brand new). I have fFalkens on my other on my other Amarok and they are fine ,. However my Toyos are now 7 months old and are wearing well . Good tyre ...look good, feel good, and relatively quiet. Go for them .
I love my Toyo OC AT3’s!! The give a great ride, low road noise and great in heavy rain. I can’t wait for snow to see the performance they give. They have great grip on rocky and dirt roads to.
Is yours made in japan?
My experience opposite of yours. Mine is not good in heavy rain. I was running them on my G wagon. During a storm when I was traveling from San Diego to Los Angeles a Corolla passed me at the speed I am hydroplaning. I got p rated 275/55r20. Maybe LT sizes are better because deeper tread.

@@BC-sr3ggCan you compare the behave in rain to some other ATs ?
@@BC-sr3gg the G-wagon is one of my favorite vehicles so don’t think I’m trashing your truck, but this guy definitely didn’t have All terrain tires, at best he had great All Season tires which are better in rain, plus the Corolla sits lower, and if he had weight inside because he got thrown out of his Baby Momma’s house he would be even better.
It would be great to see an off road comparison between these and the Falken Wildpeak AT3W (same size, same obstacles)
I love how much you dig tyres.
Hahaha, thanks mate! Gotta have a passion for something, right?! 😝
@@TyreReviewVideos heck yes!
I really appreaciate all your reviews, all the best from Mexico!!
How blinking LONG have we waited for this tyre in Australia !!!!!....... about blinking time !
They also have the mountain or snow flake winter rating and its an all weather tire !...ideal for here in British Columbia 🇨🇦
Yes! I had a minor freakout that I forgot to mention that, but I did!
Man, I miss living in BC. Our trusty 4Runner guided us to some sweet locales in your beautiful province, but I need to get back there for more travel!

yep looking forward to the comparison test.... I also dig how much you love rubber

Hanging out for your long term review on the AT3! Is that video dropping anytime soon?
Yeah, I'm right at the point on deciding on them...wonder when the Long term review is in? @TyreReviewVideos
Thanks for the video. Regarding the different variants: only the p/metric variant is available in my required size. On many product pictures they look like completely different tires (looks like much less thread depth and much more of a road tire). Can you confirm, that they are all more or less the same tire? Is it correct that they have weaker sidewalls? The toyo product page mentiones different load ranges and ply ratings for different sizes, with mine being the weakest at "Standard Load (SL)"
I find all that quite confusing. Maybe you could make a video about the different sizes and variants as the tires become more and more popular.
Hey mate
Just wondering why the Toyo RT Trail tyre are not available much on the Australian market?
Finally AT3 💪♥
Been waiting forever it seems for you to review it!
I'm about a third of the way into the long term review K's as well!
Hope the Studio review was what you were hoping for! Make sure you check out the AT2 vs AT3 vid, too 🤘
Hi, do you have an estimate on when you’ll have a long term review out on the Toyo AT3’s?
Waiting for this too 😅
Greetings, I'm looking to buy myself a new set of four tires and I'm stuck between the general grabber ATX and Toyo Open country at3. Which of the two would you recommend for daily use? Say, jack of all trades tire. I ride mostly on road, sometimes I'll go on off road camping trips.. and which of the two do you think will do better on rain? This would be on a 3rd gen Tacoma
Hi Jared,
When is the long term review of these due out?
Which AT tire do you think is better - Toyo AT3 or Maxxis Razr AT-811?..
Cant wait for a falken at3w vs toyo at3 shootout!
It’s already been done. Look up on trailbuilt off-road channel, and search those comparisons. U will be happy for that
@@toyotabrony Of course, but did ya think the OP may have been referring to THIS channel?
@@Icutmetal no but I was telling to why not search on that channel, that’s already been review.
So why not.
subscribed because of the nose depth test
I think the nose test is funny but also very decent reviews on you're channel about these tires. I'm wondering how the Toyo a/t 3 stacks up against the Mickey Thompson Baja boss a/t. They both look like good tires for snow and rain
One thing you have to know about tires is high wet performance and winter performance can’t be achieved together Especially in all terrain tire categories. Those two tires are not good wet tires in their own categories.
How have these gone over 10,000km? Comparison to Geolander X-AT G016?
Im confused, i bought a set of at3's today (not fitted yet) and my dealer said the side wall is a 3ply in the LT version whereas in the video here it says 2. Can anyone clarify this? its hard to find concrete info on it online
GUY IN VIDEO IS WRONG ALL TOYO LT TIRES ARE 3 PLY SIDEWALLS .
How did the long term test go ?
How do they compare with the Cooper AT3 LTs?
I get a kick how so many people hate tire road noise. I was always told here in the great lakes of northern wisconsin. If the tires aint howeling going down the road you are about to loose control. Up here we live by that. Theh suddenly stop making noise in rain in snow you are about to in 3 seconds have a have dhit your pants moment. So road noise for me i perfer the louder the better tells you the tire is doing is its job.
this or kumho road venture at52 in terms of treadlife for 99% highway driving?
Where’s the update?
Where is the long term update review?
Coming soon! We had a stuff up with the audio, so need to sort that out first...
@@TyreReviewVideos i'm thinking of buy the toyo open country at3 in the next weeks, and there is one question i have! How good do the toyo's perform in mud?
is TOYO RT noisy?
In what sizes they look good
They look good in all sizes.
It’s been in the states for years
For the at3, 2.5 years
@@toyotabrony Yep years.
Yeah! I saw them all the way back in 2019 at SEMA, but due to all sorts of factors it took aaaages for them to make it out here :(
Load rating
Looks great Jared, but once again the tyre manufacturers have forgotten that a lot of new cars/utes/4WD's come with 19 inch wheels, so they lose sales again.
I'd be keen to see what sizes we end up with for the AT3, as the Toyo guys were confident they were going to have a whole bunch more sizes than what they had for the AT2. Thanks for the props!
@@TyreReviewVideos fingers crossed as they look brilliant! Thanks for letting me know, and keep up the great work.
@@davidshepherd3365 Thanks David!
I mean my 23 VW Tiguan came with 20s, and I bought 17s specifically so I can get these tires in 235/65
I have these tires and the suck. I have them on my Bronco and they ride terrible.
265/60/18 how much pls
Hello. First of all, I live in Alaska. It gets nasty up here in winter. I've had both, AT3s and AT2s. Not much difference. AT2s quieter on road, AT3s a little noisier. AT3s better on ice, about the same on snow. I don't go off road-where no road has been established- because that's where it gets crazy up here. Good general traction but not made the extremes of Alaska-crossing rivers, driving straight up rock faced inclines etc. Overall, however, a good basic tire for banging around.
is it okay to be used for mostly highway and just seldom off road?
How are these compared to the Maxxis Razr 811?
